I just finished Survivor Koah Rong. Side note: newborns leave you with a little too much tv time when they are preventing you from sleeping.

Anyways, for a season that is just above average it really has a lot of good characters. Even if he is a horrible human, Jason is just lightning on the screen. He gives good confessionals he is good in challenges and is good at tribal. Just an awful awful person. Then we already saw returns out of Caleb, Tai, Aubry, and Debbie. I still think there are good cases to be made for Cydney, Jason, Julia, Michele and Peter of all people. They were all good in confessional and tv. Julia especially because there just aren't that many young hot blondes that are also decent at the gameplay and that is an arc type survivor likes to have. Give her some more life experience and I really do think Julia would be damn dangerous. I don't think we would see Neal again unless they were doing another medivac season but even then Caleb is the better story. I am dying for a Cydney return I loved her. She killed me with her confessionals and she was basically a triple threat.

I don't think this season is as loved as I remembered but it has the potential to have a large number of returnees maybe like a Cooks Island.

The biggest flaw with Nick is that in the first five episodes he was bland and stuck up. But in his last three episodes he was hilariously incompetent. If that had been his entire story arc he probably could've been top 5 for the season.

like legitimately, if aubry won people would talk about it as a top 10 season. i'm bummed she lost too but ultimately it was still an amazing ride

(i also liked nick maiorano a lot; he turned out to be pretty level-headed and well-spoken in his ponderosa stuff, go figure)

@Peridiam just watched your newest video and I think you pretty much nailed it, at least the top 4. #5 there are a few people I might suggest instead, Clay, Twila, Katie, Dreamz, Sherri, and Will but I think the person you picked for #5 is probably right on par with those and was just like, a choice to pick out of that group.

I was going to suggest a similar video about "Losing to Your Goat," but looking at the list of winners vs. runners-up, I think there's only two instances in the history of Survivor in which a player intentionally went to the end with a player they legitimately thought could not possibly win and lost to them, those being Russell's two finals runs. The only other things that even came close were a momentary lapse in judgement (Woo) and a remarkable situation in which the winner almost didn't even matter (Rob in 8).

The funny thing is, if Chris hadn't been selected as a leader on the first day (and subsequently throwing the challenge), he'd probably be a complete background character. But that first day set him at odds with Domenick, and it's made him a central character since.

NuNaviti is just head and shoulders better than NuMalolo. NuMalolo is being ruled by a boring clique of young people who got lucky with the swap, while NuNaviti is far more dynamic so far. Kinda glad NuMalolo lost immunity, but I hope Stephanie survives.
