Shane is a bit different. Survivor had way more ballots and the superfan podcast listeners were only about 20% of the vote. BBCAN is in Canada, which has fewer people, and the RHAP group includes international people who are casting hundreds of votes a day. It's a more significant portion of the ballots. Random casuals also seem to prefer her, at least based on the replies to Arisa asking who people voted for.

Keep in mind these are also newbies and people have little to go off of. With Second Chance, they had their first go in mind - and casuals don't really like Shane. Plus, there were ballot limits - there isn't here. I'd presume a lot of casuals just vote once and are done.

Based on how the RHAP contingent is vote stuffing like mad, I'd say Kirsten is a lock. From what I am seeing, it's almost certain that Merron and Kirsten will be the two entering the house, but who knows what the silent voters are doing?

I finished World's Apart. It was worse than I remember but it wasn't as bad as it is always put out to be. People who I could see play again: Mike, Rodney, Mama C, Max (blah)

Survivor clearly likes Max, I don't care for him too much. But Rodney and Mama C are the clear favorites here. The are good confessionals with good games and I don't know of a hige downside to having them frankly. Jenn, while a good story teller, is really viewed as a quit so I don't see her playing again. Dan was great in confessional and for TV but he really pissed off production. Mike would really be a great winner to play again because his game could be completely different the second time especially if he had some sort of injury in the beginning of the game kind of like Tyson did. Um, if there is anyone else I can't think of them. Oh I know people like Vince Sly but I don't care for him that much. I thought Joaquin was good but he is probably best left here because his best asset was his narrative over the White Collar vs Blue Collar vs No Collar narrative. So, the player, is a lock for the "first boot season" but I don't think that's a thing.

On to the surprisingly controversial Cambodia. I don't think I'll share my opinion on this one because I don't want to do this again lol

I expect to see Mike again. I mean, him and Meg are loving life, but I don't think Mike can resist coming back and trying to be a badass again, which he was even if he's a lower-tier winner.

I don't believe Rodney wants to come back. He was really, really sick after it was all said and done and had a stint in an ICU, which is why he wasn't on the ballot for Cambodia (CBS didn't want to risk him getting even sicker in the horrible filming location). I think he's gotten everything he wanted out of the Survivor experience, too.

Dan is on the blacklist for taking the entirety of his exit press day to whine about his edit. Vince Sly had secondbootitis and has been forgotten by everyone except the superfans. So Kim is a definite consideration if they do a pre-jury second chance sort of thing. I'd love a "Superfans vs. Second Chances" season where they have a tribe of ten superfans versus a tribe of ten people who either left really early or got dragged to the end as a goat and reamed. In other words... can former fodder turn it around? Or can the superfans who actually remember them beat them?

I will say one thing about the Cambodia season that I know I said I wouldn't talk about. This premiere is so great. This is my fourth time watching (I watched this episode in particular twice when it aired and then once before the finale. but didn't rewatch the rest) and I still really enjoy watching it.

For what it's worth, I don't think Jenna is blacklisted, and I think if it came down to it, their arm COULD be twisted to have Fairplay back. Maybe. And possibly Ian, but only if you consider Ian a quitter.

Although she quit, Jenna Morasca is not on the blacklist because Probst feels bad for her and they would've pulled her from the game anyway. All other quitters, including Papa Smurf and Dana, will never return to Survivor. Those two are more because their bodies couldn't take it than because of a weak mind, so they're not blacklisted and can return to Survivor events. Certain other quitters aren't even allowed to go to those because Survivor wants to dissociate themselves with them (i.e. Colton, NaOnka). Others do attend such events (Purple Kelly comes to mind) but are never going to be considered for a return. If any quitter can redeem themselves, it would be Purple Kelly, though - she was only 20 y/o last time she played. If she were to return ten years later for season 40, she'd have enough maturity and life experience to not quit. I think she'd want to prove that. They probably won't let her, obviously.

The entire Hantz family is blacklisted. Willie got banned from CBS completely for his physical assault on Chef Joe on BB14. Brandon of course from Hantzageddon. And then Russell sent death threats toward Phillip on Twitter over that whole ordeal and, since CBS was already contemplating banning him for the Missyae Leaks (but could not prove his guilt), they used that as an excuse.

So my daughter decided she is going to be born today so I don't think I'm gonna get to watch live.

Side note: I'm wearing my pink Bayon buff (I wore my Balboa buff when my son was born so this is a thing now) and apparently the nurses in labor and delivery have been doing a survivor poll where everyone gets a name out of a hat. Our nurse has Chelsea and I told her that while I like her castaway I don't like her chances lol

I feel like we're gonna get a semi-invisible screwed over first. There are too many of them left and it'd be just like Simone or Candace Smith to get ignored in the premiere, and then get a ton of screentime (and a boot) in week 2.

And it always inevitably screws someone over who was otherwise in a great position.
