I've seen a difference, but I've both gotten a raise and reduced my withholding (since I got literally a $1000 refund for 2017) since the year started. I'm too lazy to do the math to see if the tax bill impacted it, but I'd wager probably not based on the size of the increase in my take-home

I don't make much, but my paychecks vary depending on how many hours i get scheduled from week to week. Ill see if i can find some pay stubs from last year with a comparable amount of hours and compare withholdings.

Otherwise there is too much variance from simply working more or less to account for.
