"I'll see what there is to make sandwiches."

You go to the kitchen and find a loaf of bread, and then a jar of peanut butter and jar of jelly.

"Are you okay with having peanut butter and jelly today?" you ask Raven.

"Yeah, that's fine," she says.

You take out slices of bread, but already notice the quality of the bread is quite literally crumby. This will fall apart if you put peanut butter on it. Luckily, there is a toaster nearby, so you put the slices in there. Toasting the bread will make it sturdier so the PB&J won't tear it up.

"Is there a third Spider-Man movie?" she asks.

"Yes, but I'm not sure if you'll like it as much as the other two."

"Why?"

"They just put in too much at once, really. I can understand they wanted to finish the trilogy while getting as much of Spider-Man's story in, but it was too ambitious and it just muddied the film."

Raven picks up the remote and you go to the toaster as the break pops out. You put those slices on a plate and toast the next two while spreading the peanut butter and jelly. You pour a couple glasses of cola while you wait for the remaining bread.

"Okay, I found Spider-Man 3," she says.

"You can start it without me, I've obviously already seen it."

You hear the movie begin while the toaster pops out the bread. You spread peanut butter and jelly on those and make the second sandwich. You bring the plates first, handing Raven one and setting the other on the table, then go back to fetch the drinks.

"Thank you," she says while you sit down with yours.

By this point in the movie, Harry Osborne has become the new Green Goblin, but Spider-Man causes him to fall of his glider and pinball of pipes.

"Ow...!" Raven says with a slight chuckle.

"Yes, it's almost comical how much Harry bounced around," you say.

Peter helps Harry home, and it turns out Harry has amnesia about learning Peter is Spider-Man.

"Makes sense, with his head getting knocked around," Raven says.

Meanwhile, a burly man visits his wife and daughter in secret, then sneaks away as police sirens approach. Turns out this man is escaped convict, Flint Marko. As he flees the police closing in, he falls into a secret facility. He specifically falls into a silo filled with sand, and that silo turns out to be a particle accelerator! It activates, and his body becomes sand, too. But then, the sand begins to move, and it takes humanoid form of the man on the run.

The city of New York puts on a Spider-Man festival to celebrate the hero. Spider-Man makes an appearance, and fans want him to kiss the lovely Gwen Stacy who hosts the event. Gwen doesn't see the problem, and neither does Spider-Man, even though Mary Jane is in the audience. Naturally, Mary Jane is upset by the kiss, but she has little time to focus on it as the now super-powered Marko attacks an armored car. And of course, Spider-Man fights Marko, but Marko's sand powers are too much, allowing Marko to escape, now nicknamed "The Sandman".

That night, NYPD Captain George Stacy--Gwen's father--informs Peter and Aunt May that Sandman was Uncle Ben's true killer. Evidence shows the deceased Dennis Carradine, the thief Spider-Man scared out of the window in the first movie, was Marko's accomplice. The dread of knowing Ben's killer is still out there brings back Aunt May's grief all over again.

As Peter sleeps, still wearing his costume, the strange alien substance creeps onto him and fuses with the costume. When he wakes up that morning, he sees the cosmetic makeover the creature caused, and even senses his powers have grown stronger. However, the creature has an effect on him, bringing out a darker edge. Wearing this new black suit, Spider-Man hunts down Sandman, and a battle begins!

They fight in the subway, and Spider-Man discovers Sandman's weakness is naturally water. Spider-Man breaks a water pipe, causing water to reduce Marko into mud. In his rage, Spider-Man doesn't care what happens to Sandman as the powerful current washes him down the drain.

"Whoa, that's pretty intense," Raven says.

"I still don't like the way that suit looks," you say. "It's not supposed to have the web pattern on it, it's supposed to be smooth and sleek."

"That would look better."

Peter has new confidence and swagger now that he's gotten rid of Ben's murderer. Perhaps too much confidence, as he is weirdly flirtatious and suave with random women he passes by. It alienates Mary Jane, whose career is floundering. With Peter being too self-absorbed, she finds solace with Harry, the other person who knows Peter best. But they get a bit too close to having a moment, and Mary Jane leaves in regret.

Meanwhile, Harry recovers from his amnesia, remembering everything about his hatred for Peter who is Spider-Man. Urged by a new hallucination of his father, Harry meets with Mary Jane again to blackmail her into breaking it off with Peter. She complies, and tells Peter she loves "somebody else". When Peter and Harry meet later, Harry claims to be that someone else. Peter puts it together and this only happened because of Harry.

Because of the alien creature's influence, Peter uses words to hurt Harry, claiming Norman Osborne never loved him. This spurs on a new fight of Spider-Man and Green Goblin 2, and when Harry throws a pumpkin bomb at Peter, Peter deflects it back, and the explosion disfigures Harry's face with the serious burns. Not that this new, vindictive Peter cares.

Meanwhile, rival photographer Eddie Brock has been dragging Spider-Man's name through the mud with pictures that imply Spider-Man has become a thief. Peter exposes Eddie, showing it is doctering of the photos that created the narrative. This leads Jameson to fire Eddie, which of course leads Eddie to despise Peter.

Peter and Mary Jane are still broken up, so Peter works to make her jealous by bring Gwen Stacy to the nightclub where Mary Jane now works. There's a dance number, and Gwen realizes Peter is just using her, so she storms out. Mary Jane and Peter argue, and the level to which Peter verbally attacks her makes him realize just how negatively this new suit is affecting him. He ends up at a church bell tower, right as the bell tolls. The sound hurts the creature, and Peter realizes that strong sound is the creature's weakness.

Down below is Eddie, praying for horrible things to happen to Peter. He hears the bell, as well as Peter shouting at the shrieking symbiote creature. As he stands under the bell, the weakened symbiote drips onto him! Peter gets away, but Eddie becomes its new host, and thereby becoming a new villain, Venom.

The Sandman turns up alive, having dried off and reformed. And Venom finds him to join forces against Spider-Man.

Posing as a taxi driver, the Sandman kidnaps Mary Jane! He holds her as bait from a web, high above a construction site. The Sandman keeps the police at bay as this makes the news. Seeking help, Peter goes to Harry, who rejects him because of his grudge. Spider-Man therefore does his best to fight The Sandman and Venom alone. Peter learns it was his fault that Eddie became what he is, but that won't stop Venom from wanting revenge.

While the news reports the battle, Harry's butler tells him the story of the night Norman Osborne died. Part of that is the truth of how Norman was the Green Goblin, and that Peter brought his father home with care, not wanting Harry to know the truth. With this truth, Harry suits up to help. He arrives in time to even the numbers, using some of his pumpkin bombs to slow Sandman down.

They both battle Venom together but he's very strong. Venom grabs the new goblin glider and prepares to use the sharp spikes on Spider-Man! But Harry jumps in the way, and he gets stabbed in Spider-Man's place. Venom then slings Harry at a pile of pipes, and the clattering sound hurts Venom. Spider-Man remembers the symbiote's weakness, and assembles a perimeter of metal pipes to create a sonic wall. The sound weaknes Venom, and Spider-Man manages to pull Eddie out from it.

Spider-Man web-slings a pumpkin bomb at the formless symbiote, but Eddie jumps at it at the same time, so the bomb's explosion destroys both symbiote and Eddie. The Sandman returns to his normal size and stops the fighting. He explains that he never meant to kill Uncle Ben. Uncle Ben was trying to help him stop, but Carradine spooked him and it caused him to accidentally shoot Ben. Sandman has been haunted by that ever since. Spider-Man forgives Sandman, and lets him escape as a cloud of sand on the winds.

However, Harry is not going to survive. He, Peter and Mary Jane all apologize to each other, and make up as friends, before Harry dies. Peter, Mary Jane, and Aunt May attend Harry's funeral. Later, at the nightclub, Peter and Mary Jane reconcile, the film ending with them back together.

"They killed off Harry?" Raven says.

"Well, this was one of the many problems with this one," you say. "They put in three villains, and none of them were quite what their comic book counterparts were. Firstly, Sandman doesn't start as a remorseful villain, but a more typical selfish one. Secondly, Eddie Brock is nowhere near what he should look like even before becoming Venom. He needed to be bulkier, and of good physical strength even before the symbiote increased that strength. And thirdly, Harry was far too sane as the Green Goblin. He should've been far more vindictive and psychotic, and honestly, the third movie should've just been about him versus Spider-Man, no other villains."

"Or maybe, instead of having three villains," Raven says, "just remove Sandman. He didn't really need to be in this movie, just have someone else be Uncle Ben's real killer. Then they could've still done all the Venom stuff, even if Harry dies."

"That's a good idea, too," you say.

"What say we take a break from movies and watch some television?" you say.

"Fine by me," Raven says.

She stretches and turns sideways to lean against you as you exit out of the On Demand system and back to regular cable.

"In a combination sports and crime news story," the anchor says, "the villain known as Sportsmaster appeared at last Friday's professional football game between the Gotham Knights and Baltimore Ravens, in Baltimore."

"There's a football team named the Ravens?" you ask.

"Why do you think I would know?" she asks back. "I don't sports."

You and Raven chuckle at her phrasing.

"Sportsmaster waited until the Knights' star quarterback, Tuck Battaglia, completed his 5000th career pass, to then run in and steal the ball," the anchor continues. "For those unfamiliar with American Football, Battaglia is a two time Mega Bowl Champion with the Knights, and is already considered a future Hall of Fame inductee, as he holds the pass completion yard record, and is both the Gotham Knights' and the entire league's winningest quarterback with a current record of 214 wins.

"Therefore, the motivation for stealing the football would be that it is a historic sports item, which is the obvious theme of Sportsmaster's various crimes. However, he was stopped by Baltimore's own resident Green Lantern, and the historic football was returned to Battaglia and the Knights."

"Now, which Green Lantern is this?" the other anchor asks. "He's not the original Green Lantern, right?"

"No, Baltimore's Green Lantern is the third Green Lantern, I believe," the first anchor says.

"I see. And for those also concerned about the football game, Baltimore won in the end, with a final score of 47 to 20 thanks to the Ravens' defensive backs causing several turnovers in the fourth quarter."

"Yay Ravens," Raven says.

You two both chuckle again.

"Hmm..." you say as you see the time in all the different time zones. "It's already 6 PM on the Eastern Seaboard, but that means it's only 3 back in California. At the same time, that means it's past 11 in London..."

"You don't mind waiting to eat at our normal time, do you?"

"No, that's perfectly fine," she says. "I'm not even hungry anyway."

"Alright," you say.

You relax while the news continues.

"In more crime news, the Royal Flush Gang went on quite the spree," the first anchor says. "Not only did they cheat slot machines of several casinos, but they robbed those same casinos' cash reserves at the same time. It was thanks to the combined efforts of Zatanna and Dr. Fate that the Royal Flush Gang was stopped, from the King all the way to Ace."

"Oh, Zatanna," you say. "You met her once, right?"

"Yeah, the Master of Games brought her along in his all female superhero tournament. I actually faced her in the opening round because of both of us using magic. By the way, her magic works by speaking backwards."

"Interesting," you say. "Logomancy is very rare, I wonder what her lineage is."

Raven jabs her elbow into you.

"Ow..." you say. "What was that for?"

"Don't," she says. "Just don't."

"Don't what?" you ask. "I was just asking a question."

"Sure you were," she grumbles.

"Is it because it's Zatanna specifically?" you ask. "Do you not like her for some reason?"

Raven simply huffs and puffs as she sits up, no longer leaning on you.

"C'mon, you can tell me," you say. "Was it something she said? Or how she acted?"

"It wasn't any of that," Raven says. "She was actually really nice. Maybe too nice."

"Then why don't you like her?"

"I don't dislike Zatanna," Raven says, "I just don't want you thinking about her."

"Why? This doesn't make any sense to me."

"I don't want you thinking about her that way," she pouts.

"That way?" you repeat. "Like, romantically or something?"

"Yes...!" Raven sighs.

"But I haven't even met her," you say with a slight chuckle. "Nor have I even seen what she looks like."

"Which is why I don't want you knowing anything about her," Raven says.

"Raven, come now," you say as you scoot closer to her. "There's no need to be so insecure."

You wrap your arm around her but she gets a bit squirmy.

"No one will take me away from you," you say as you rest your chin on her shoulder.

"Is that true?" she asks.

"Why wouldn't it be?"

"I dunno..." she grumbles. "But you'd definitely be attracted to her."

"Oh? And why's that?"

"Because you seem attracted to a lot of girls you meet," she grumbles harder.

"I wouldn't say 'a lot'," you say.

"Oh really?" she says. "You weren't attracted to Jinx? Or Argent? Or even Starfire, for that matter."

You feel a bit of panic coming on, knowing anything you feel will be detected by Raven. Including the panic...

"I was..." you say nervously.

"I knew it!" she says.

"Don't make it out to be more than it is," you say. "You're all very pretty. I think it'd be worse if I wasn't attracted."

"How?"

"Because it'd make me out to be asexual or something."

"You're definitely not that," she says with a laugh. "With what you and I have done so far."

"But, is that your problem, then?" you say. "She's pretty?"

"That's an understatement," Raven says. "Since you've confessed to it, would you put Starfire as pretty or as beautiful?"

"Umm..."

"Just answer," she says. "I won't get mad. Unless you say she's hot, because I will hit you with Disorientation."

"She's very lovely," you say.

"Well, then Zatanna is also very lovely," Raven says.

"Really?"

"Yes, really."

"Well, that doesn't take away from how lovely you are," you say.

"But I'm not as lovely as them," she pouts while you wrap your arms around her more.

"Why should that matter?" you ask. "Love isn't about who is loveliest. Love is compatibility, and friendship, and devotion. So what if there are more physically attractive girls? I love you, Raven. I love you."

She slowly turns from pout to smirk. You smile back at her, and give her a soft kiss on the shoulder.

"Now that we've cleared that up," you say. "How about we..."

"Play a game?"

"Oooh, that sounds good," she says. "What game would we play?"

"We've got lots of time, so we can do some chess."

"Oh that's right, our travel set."

"Exactly. I'll go fetch that while you put away the dishes."

"Okay."

You go to your luggage in bedroom 3 while Raven takes the plates and cups to the kitchen area. You rummage through your knapsack's magic pocket and pull out the chess board, as bought in Hawaii.

You return to the cabin and the table by the window. Raven returns while you set up the chess board.

"I'll be black this time," you say while placing the pieces.

"Alright," she says as she sits and stands up the white.

With everything in place, Raven makes the first move, King's Pawn to E3. You move Pawn to A5. She counters with a Pawn to A3. You move Pawn to B5, she brings a Knight to C3. You move a Bishop to B7, she moves Pawn to D4. Your Knight to B6, her other Knight comes to F3.

You bait with Pawn to B4, but she sees through that to move her Knight to A4. Your Pawn to E6, she takes it with her Pawn, you take that Pawn with your Bishop.

"Check," you say.

She easily moves her Knight to defend at D2. You move your Bishop back to D6, she moves a pawn to B3. You move Pawn to G5, her Pawn goes to E4, your Knight takes Pawn at D4. She threates with Pawn to C3, but you counter with Pawn to E5. She moves Pawn to F3, but you do realize your Knight is in trouble. You move him back to C6, but her Bishop advances in that moment to B5.

Your Pawn to H5, she moves her Rook to A2. Same Pawn to H4, her Knight goes to C4. It threatens a Bishop but it's protected. Knight to F6, she brings a Bishop to E3, to target a Pawn. You move your Rook over to G8, so she instead moves her Knight into B6. That Knight is so well-protected, too, thanks to that cluster on that side. It also threatens your other Rook, so you move it to B8. Her Knight backs off to A4.

You move your Queen, to E7. She moves hers to D3. Your Queen goes to E6, she Rooks, King on G1. You move your Rook to G6, she moves her Rook over to D1. Your Knight to D5, hers to C5, your Bishop takes that Knight but her Bishop takes one of yours.

Your Pawn takes that Bishop, her Pawn takes your Knight. But now you have her, because your Pawn takes that one, and she knows she can't risk her Queen against yours. Her Queen backs off to E2.

Your Pawn to D4, her Pawn takes it, so you take that Pawn with a Pawn. However, she moves a Pawn to B4, you take it with a Pawn. Her Bishop takes the D4 Pawn, but you move your Bishop to A6 to target her Knight. Her Rook moves over to C2, protecting both Queen and Knight from the same position.

You threaten that Rook back with your Pawn, B3. She pounces on your Queen at E6, but your Rook takes her Queen. She moves her Rook to D2, lining up both Rooks together. Your Bishop threatens the front Rook from B4, her Knight moves to E3. You still take that Rook at D2, but instead of retaliating, she moves Knight to F5. You move your ROok to E2, but her Knight moves to G7.

"Check," she says.

That's an easy counter, you move King to F8. She threatens your Rook with Bishop via A7, but you reverse that with Rook to B7. Her Knight moves to E6.

"Check," she repeats.

But your Pawn takes it.

"Gah, how did I miss that?" she growls.

With little left to do, she moves Pawn to G3. Your Pawn to B2. Her Bishop flies back to F2. Your Pawn reaches the end and Promotion to Queen. Her Rook moves in to take it away again, but your Rook flies up from B7 to take it. Her Bishop moves in but you take it with yours, and she has no other move than one of her Pawns. Your Bishop takes that Pawn, and her King is trapped.

"Checkmate," you say.

She lets out a long groan, but not completely frustrated.

"I can't believe you got me," she says. "Where did I go wrong?"

"There was definitely a turning point in the middle there," you say. "But that was really fun."

"Yeah, it really was."

"Seriously? You're going to quit while you're ahead?"

"It's only 'quitting' if I stop after losing," you say as you stand up. "I won, so it's not quitting, it's more like retiring."

"Whatever," she says with a roll of her eyes.

She follows you to the kitchen and you rummage through the cupboards together.

"Beans?" you say.

"Rorek, I know you said you love me, and I love you, too," she says, "but if we have beans, stuck inside an airplane, I think that'll change."

"Fine, no beans."

"How about soup?" she asks. "Some nice clam chowder maybe?"

"But what else would we have with it?" you ask. "Soup won't be all that much."

Raven checks the plane's refrigerator.

"How about having it with one of these microwave dinners?" she asks as she brings them out.

"I suppose that'd be fine," you say as you look at the selection. "I'll take the..."

"Macaroni and Cheese."

"Okay," she says as she hands you the sealed plastic bowl. "Then I will take the... Ravioli."

You go to the microwave and check the instructions on the bowl's label. You simply need to remove the vented lid, peel the seal off, and put the lid back on before heating it up. It looks like Raven's ravioli bowl works the same way. Your mac 'n' cheese bowl apparently just needs a few minutes on high.

You do as instructed, with lid and peeling the seal, and then pop it into the microwave. You put in the time and let the microwave do its work.

While you wait, you get a new glass and pour yourself soda. You also fetch forks for you and Raven.

*BEEP BEP* The microwave finishes, and you use magic to pull the bowl out to avoid contact with what will likely be hot plastic. Raven puts her bowl inside and has it heat up. You use magic to stir your bowl of mac 'n' cheese while you blow on it with your actual breath.

*BEEP BEP* The microwave is done with Raven's ravioli, and she also uses her magic to bring it out and stir it.

You grab napkins and the two of you use those to hold your microwaved dinners while you go back to the cabin. The two of you sit down again and decide to watch

You go back to the On Demand list and search for more Marvel movies for Raven to watch for the first time.

"Let's try other franchises within Marvel's movie collection," you say. "The X-Men movies have been very good."

"X-Men... Those are the mutants, right?"

"Indeed they are," you say. "Alright, we'll start with the original and see how you like it."

You bring up the film from 2000 via the search, and use the select button to begin.

The film opens on Poland, during the Nazi occupation that would lead to World War II. A young man is being separated from his father and mother but resists. Things get intense as they work to force the boy over to the other area, and he reaches out, shouting for his mother while his mother does the same.

The gates close between them, but something starts pulling on them. It becomes a stronger force the more the boy screams and shouts. The metal specifically is moving towards the boy, and the force between it and him is like a chain making it even more difficult for the Nazi troops to pull him away. Another soldier smacks the boy in the head with the butt of a rifle, knocking the boy out. It is then that the magnetic force between them goes away.

Cut forward to the "not too distant future", and Washington D.C. where an older man watches a debate between Senator Robert Kelly and activist Jean Grey. The issue being discussed is the "Mutant Registration Act" that would make it law for a mutant to reveal themselves and their powers. Robert Kelly uses gun registration as his reasons for this legislation, and that spurs the older man to leave. Another older man senses his presence, and confronts him in the hallway.

The man in the wheelchair reveals the other to be Erik Lehnsherr, who reveals the other to be Charles Xavier. Erik wishes to go by "Magneto", and they imply a past friendship with each other. Xavier hopes "Magneto" will leason to reason, but Magneto wants Xavier to see the humans today are no better than the Nazis of the past. Xavier wants Magneto to avoid starting a war, but to Magneto, the war has already begun.

Meanwhile, in Meridian, Mississippi, 17-year-old Marie D'Ancanto gets frisky with her boyfriend, and they start making out. However, something happens and the boyfriend starts having spasms! Marie panics, she realizes it's something about her touch. When her parents come in and check on the boyfriend, Marie shrieks for them to stay away from her, for fear she'd do the same to them.

Marie runs away and heads North into Canada. The trucker she hitched a ride with gets her to her destination, but it isn't at all what she expected. She goes to a bar, and watches a cage fight. The champion is going by the ring name, "Wolverine". Another challenger steps up, but the ring leader of this show warns him that--while the fight is no holds barred--don't hit below the belt. The challenger doesn't care, he goes in and fights Wolverine with no holding back. He does end up hitting Wolverine in the balls, but that only angers Wolverine more. Wolverine beats the man and wins his money.

After things settle down for the night, Wolverine joins Marie at the bar. The challenger Wolverine just beat is upset over his loss, he believes Wolverine is a "freak", a mutant. He tries to fight Wolverine again, but Wolverine pins him up against a post and reveals his razor-sharp metal claws! The bartender steps in and tells Wolverine to leave. Wolverine does, but Marie follows. She still needs a ride further into the North, so Wolverine reluctantly lets her join him. Wolverine's real name is "Logan", but Marie wants to go by "Rogue" now.

"Oh," you say while scooping more mac 'n' cheese. "We totally forgot about the clam chowder."

"Oh, shoot, we did," Raven chuckles. "Could you go make that please?"

"Certainly," you say. "While I'm at it, we could use something to go with the soup. I'm thinking..."

"Bread. Something soft to soak up the soup."

"That'd be good."

You go to the kitchen and grab the can of clam chowder. You find a pot, open the can and pour the soup into the pot. You have it heat to a boil while you get bowls and spoons. You set those aside to then search the cupboards for bread.

"Here we are," you say. "A nice loaf of white bread."

You pull it off the shelf, but then see the green spots on the back end...

"Oh..." you say with a disgusted frown.

You look around and see you're alone in the kitchen. You build up some mana, and use Restoration Magic to bring the bread back to its healthy state. You then take out some slices and pair them with the bowls. The soup is ready minute later, and you pour equal shares. You then bring the bowls and bread out to Raven with some assistance from magic.

"Here you are," you say as you give her one bowl and slice of bread.

"Thank you," she says.

You sit down and dig in on the soup while Logan and Rogue are brought to a mansion, Xavier's School for Gifted Children. In other words, a school for mutants to safely learn how to control their powers so that they aren't a danger to themselves and others.

"Is that comparable to your family's place?" Raven asks.

"Pretty much," you say.

"Then I can't wait to see it," she smirks.

Xavier tells Logan that he believes Magneto took an interest in Logan, as Sabretooth is one of Magneto's henchmen in the Brotherhood of Mutants. Xavier invites Logan to stay with them, the X-men, while they investigate. Rogue takes this opportunity to enroll in the school.

Meanwhile, Senator Kelly is headed somewhere in a helicopter, but it turns out criminal mutants have infiltrated. One is Toad, the frog-man, and the other is Mystique, the shapeshifter whose natural form is a red-haired, blue-skinned and rather alluring female. They kill Kelly's bodyguard and the pilot, then Mystique tells Kelly that people like him are the reason she was afraid to go to school as a child. Then she knocks him out with a swift kick before joining Toad in the cockpit.

When Kelly wakes up, he finds himself on some mysterious island, with Magneto. Magneto uses Kelly as a test subject for a machine powered by his magnetic abilities. The machine sends out a wave of strange radiation. The radiation touches Kelly, but the machine exhausts Magneto to the point he needs Mystique to help him walk. Magneto welcomes Kelly as a brother, implying the radiation has somehow made him a mutant.

Kelly is put in a cell, and laments his fate while leaning against the barred window. But then his head starts to squish like gel. Kelly is shocked by this, but then decides to take advantage of it. He pushes his way through the bars, and ends up outside the cell, but also dangling over the dangerous waves below. Magneto and Sabretooth walk into the cell and realize this. Sabretooth goes to pull Kelly back in, but the slippery state of Kelly causes Sabretooth to lose his grip! Kelly falls to the waters below, and Magneto angrily storms out, closing the cell on Sabretooth.

Sleeping in one of the Xavier manor rooms, Logan has nightmares of his mysterious past. It's chaotic and intense, and Logan suddenly wakes up with violent rage. He stabs at something in the room, and it's Rogue! Raven gasps beside you, just as Logan himself realizes the horrible mistake he just made.

But while she's still conscious, Rogue touches Logan and uses her powers to absorb his life force, and as he's a mutant, his ability. His superhuman healing factor becomes hers, and she recovers from the stab wounds. However, given all the noise, the other students are watching from the door, seeing how her powers work. She lets go before she does too much damage to Logan, then out of shame, runs away to her room.

The next morning, "Iceman" Bobby Drake talks with Rogue about the incident. He says everyone is afraid of her now, and Xavier is upset that she used her powers on someone else. She is further ashamed and depressed, so she decides to run away again. However, this wasn't the real Bobby, but Mystique in disguise!

Knowing Rogue has run away, Xavier decides to use Cerebro to track her movements. She's gone to a train station, so Logan and the X-Men members--Jean Grey, Cyclops and Storm--go to get her. But when Xavier and the others leave the underground level, Mystique sneaks in. She uses her powers to become Xavier, and tricks Cerebro into letting her in the room. She sabotages the machine with a faulty component, for the next time Xavier uses Cerebro.

Logan arrives first, and finds Rogue on a train. He convinces her to come back, but Magneto arrives now! Magneto incapacitates Wolverine because of all the metal in his body. This is when Magneto reveals Wolverine wasn't his target, it was Rogue all along!

Storm and Cyclops encounter Toad and Sabretooth in the main station. In order to stop Sabretooth from choking her, Storm summons a lightning bolt! However, this isn't enough to stop Toad from unleashing Cyclops' laser eye beams by simply taking away his visor, and this in turn neutralizes Storm. Magneto brings Rogue as a hostage, but the police have surrounded the entrance/exit. Something comes over Toad and Sabretooth and they stop Magneto. It is revealed Xavier is with Jean nearby, so it is Xavier's powerful telepathy doing this.

However, Magneto counters this with a threat on the lives of the police officers. Their guns are metal, perfect for Magneto's powers. He aims the guns at all the officers present, and even shoots one! But Magneto also stops the bullet before it pierces the officer's head. Magneto tells Xavier that he can't possibly stop all the bullets like that, so this forces Xavier to let go of the henchmen. Magneto and his Brotherhood leave, Rogue in their custody.
