Yeah, thats the one time it mattered in the Cell Games. Aside from that it was forgotten and has been ever since then. As for the tails its never mentioned at all if they had them or not. It wouldve been easy to remove them for sure, but a lot of people think Toriyama just forgot because the last time any Saiyans had tails was ages ago in the Saiyan Saga. Writing (plot anyways, but comedy was solid) was never really a strong point anyways

I was all aboard from the preview episodes, but it's been a downward spiral since then.

Today's episode was literally Studio Pierrot talking about how shit they are. Literally in the actual definition of literal. Self deprecation can be funny, but not when it's this true!

Magical Girl Ore 5 was like when a meta character in a game bitches about escort missions right before having an escort mission anyways.

I mean, I didn't get 5. I'll say 5 was a dud, but the rest of the eps were all fantastic.

The first half of episode 3 is some of the worst 12 minutes of anime I've tolerated in years!

Man how the hell did Studio Pierrot do one of the greatest shounen anime of all time with Yu Yu Hakusho and then make almost all of their other shounen adaptations dumpster fires. Will never forgive them for Beelzebub. That was a 10/10 manga even when it sadly got canceled and the anime does it no justice whatsoever. I wish they would redo more anime series that got robbed like this

Tokyo Ghoul had a lot of promise but they botched it after season 1.

I have barely seen Twin Star Exoricts, though a lot of people really like that one. And far as what I've actually seen...well, the last good show was Ghoul I suppose! Sabagebu before that (were they really the leads on the season of Korra everyone hates??).

Before that...I...Twelve Kingdoms in 2003???

Naruto part 1 and Bleach are mostly fine aside from tons of filler. Really though Studio Pierrot getting something is usually a bad sign

I feel like I remember Vegeta getting a zenkai power up after getting his ass beat by 18.

It just didn't really matter much and they were mostly concerned with getting SSJ2 after some point.

But yeah that anime sucked just by looking at it, no interest in watching it when I otherwise would have.

The time chamber is pretty silly too. Theres no way a guy like Vegeta wouldnt use that literally every moment he could after Cell was gone. He was always training to better himself and surpass Goku so he wouldve been using that thing all the time. I feel like they mightve had some weird rule to prevent that, but I cant really remember any rules aside from only one day and not being able to do 2 days in a row or something

I don't think I was the only one that liked Yona of the Dawn here either, because I'm pretty sure one of the main factors in my deciding to watch it was someone here saying it was good. No idea who though and I may just be wrong.

I feel like I should agree, but on the other hand Toei was the studio that did Kyousougiga, which is actually one of my all-time favorites. Super underappreciated show imo.

But yeah on average I'm not really a fan of them.

Stylistically Kyousugiga had me, but I only got a few episodes in before getting bored with the actual plot.

Flip Flappers ended up filling that missing niche for me years later.

Interesting. The Steins;Gate 0 dub keeps Maho translating Leskinsen into Japanese in the dub as well, with the english VA speaking Japanese. Can't say I can think of a better solution to an odd situation like that. Obviously it's strange with the audience speaking english back....but....yeah, I dunno? But then she switches back to English for the important parts.....yeesh, I dunno. It's not ruining it for me or anything, just making me rack my brain trying to figure out if there was a better way.

I would say in general it's a season for strong EDs
and so-so OPs. Wotakoi is the exception being arguably a top 10 OP of all time, and Caligula is good in regards to just being a pumping up action OP.
