I feel kinda bad when a religious person ask me the Do you believe in your savior lord Jesus Christ? Well its been asked different ways. But a guilt feeling comes over me and I always answer them as if I go to church and I believe.
Why do I feel such guilt?

No, I lived in Hong Kong back when it was still a British colony. All the best schools were christian private schools. To apply, the family must be christians. So everyone I knew was "religious", except not a single person I knew was religious.

Saying "I don't know" isn't lazy. It leaves the door open for more information to come forward and educate; that's called honesty.

Saying "God did it," however? That's lazy and, given there's no proof, claiming that amounts to a lie well before acknowledging ignorance would. When someone goes straight to that for every little thing, they're likely beyond help.

Okay. First off... The reason why you're feeling guilt is likely a desire to belong and/or to please the person. You want to be happy and the way to do so when confronted with said people is to claim you are religious. There is nothing weird about that; even if you're lying. You may also be saying so out of a desire to avoid confrontation and feeling guilty about not standing up for your ideals as well, which is also not weird. Still, it's MUCH better to just learn how to tell the person you aren't a religious person and just give a neutral response instead of trying to confront them and what-not.

Secondly, yes, atheism can be a religion. First-off, on its most basic level atheism deals with a belief in which there is no divine being. It is entirely possible to have a religion in which such divinity does not exist. However, more to the point, plenty of atheists I've seen are just as dogmatic, aggressive, fanatical, and so forth in their belief in the lack of a god and in science that they are, for all practical intents and purposes, the same thing as a religious fanatic obsessed with pushing their viewpoint. The only difference is that their god is 'there is no god' and the lab is their church. Please note, I'm not saying that they are right or wrong in their atheism, just that the question of if they are right or wrong has been rendered irrelevant as they have replaced a faith in god with a faith in science.

Thirdly, atheism does not make you smart and faith does not make you dumb. Just because you're an atheist doesn't mean you're suddenly immune to stupid things and won't be sending money to nigerian princes, buying homeopathic goods, thinking Nibaroo is about to hit us, or thinking that the U.S. was founded on the ideals of communism. Just because someone has faith doesn't mean that they're somehow incapable of developing the theories of gravity, science, philosophy, and so-forth either.

Finally, no, there is nothing unscientific about believing in god or not. While plenty of scientists are atheists plenty are also people of many faiths. If God is real or not does not change a soil composition sample, the treatment of an enlarged spleen, what happens to water when subjected to extreme pressures, and so-forth. Do aliens exist or not? There is no conclusive proof that they do. For now it's a matter of faith. Doesn't make you stupid for believing in them.

No one says it. A lot of atheists clearly believe that, just because they don't believe in God, they're somehow intellectual giants while everyone else who believes in a deity probably is a few choice words away from becoming a flat-earther. As if intelligence and faith were incompatible.

Well considering atheism isn't a religion it would be impossible to try converting somebody.

That's not even close to true. Atheism is not an organized religion, but it is a religious belief. An atheist asserts that the lack of a God or gods is indisputable truth. Any time an atheist belittles a theist, they are trying to convert them by making them question their beliefs. Just because atheists tend to be oblivious to this notion, doesn't mean that they are less likely to spread their beliefs.

I'm an Agnostic. In my opinion, only a fool accepts a statement to be true without truly knowing for themselves. This previous sentence could be construed as an attempt at converting a theist or an atheist to agnosticism. Same thing.
