Its the 4th dimension, we can't see it because we can only see in 3 dimensions. I haven't fleshed out my theory yet but it is simply a consequence of the postulate that everything moves in a straight line at a constant acceleration.

Everything is technically "always happening".

Here's an example.

The dinosaurs lived in the past.

The dinosaurs are still here today, but now they're dead and buried.

this is just one of many scientists that all believe time is an illusion

time is merely a dimension in space, our perception only allows us to think about 3 dimensions in space

We have a concept/perception of time, but no proof it actually exists. Until someone discovers time particles (or whatever), time is just a theory.

Ehhhh, not exactly.
The issue is that time is a measurement of something abstract.

Its not like space, that's warped with gravity.

It technically has no interactions ever, but we need the concept to understand interactions.

There's always that statement that a photon experiences all of time at once from its perspective. (I probably fucked that up).

I don't think we have to get all philosophical. My theory is time is 3D movement in a 4D environment and we measure it with something called time. Just like how we measure 2D movement in a 3D space.

For us to fully grasp the 4th dimension we must be able to do something akin to flying.

I'd have to flesh out my theory more but as it is we are constrained to a 3D perspective but we know reality is really 4D. To rise off the ground it takes energy, to rise off this gravity well called earth we need a considerable amount of energy. To get to the 4th dimension we'd the kind of energy that pulls light.

Those will come when I'm deeper in proving my theory.

For now I'm saying I don't agree with the "time is an illusion" camp and propose that time is a direction.
