Went through the Tea Party. Very cool. I'm glad to see Battler still believes all this hocus pocus stuff is fake parlor tricks. Like Phoenix Wright meets Mr. Satan, he is very inspiring and so I too shall not give up hope that there is No Real Magic.

As far as Beatrice's outfit goes, it is definitely cool. I think she and Battler have it bad since because they are the characters I've seen I'm already used to what they are wearing.

Episode 2 is very uneven, but it's got some good stuff in it. I still rank it toward the bottom overall though.

I hope you truck through it. It's hard to get into EP2 but that is all frontloaded. That's part of the problem, obviously, but it also means that once you get past the flashback section there's not a lot of air afterward, less than in episode 1. Episode 2 is actually the shortest episode by length, which I found interesting when I saw someone posting it.

At this point it is pretty clear that the Ushiromiya family does not treat their servants very well. I wonder if training them to think of themselves as furniture is somehow tied to making them not able to interact with Beatrice? After all, without love it cannot be seen. Of course in that case it isn't really working, but Shannon and Kanon obviously have love in their hearts despite whatever weird training they went through. But Genji also calls himself furniture, right? But he didn't grow up in that weird orphanage or whatever.

Also Battler is going to have a hard time proving that witches don't exist anymore after this episode. Perhaps mass hallucination among the servants? Everything Beatrice "did" in this episode could be explained by just being the natural course of events that would have happened/Shanon's own efforts in courting George being represented in her eyes as the witch's power.
