jeeze seems they're super close to the manga. I thought they were rushing through a lot of the content especially in the most recent season and seemed like that was indeed the case

Well if it helps, major full series anime dump on Crunchyroll today. Trigun, My-Hime, Outlaw Star, some other shit I don't care about.

Black Clover ads on Crunchy make the show seem neat. Did the main VA ever quit sucking to make it watchable? >_>

I don't think anyone here is watching to tell you. Not to mention that the VA work was the least of it's problems.

Seems like the manga is still well liked, though.

I watched a few eps of the dub and Protag's voice was way better. Didn't save the show though, still can't do it.

Overlord looks good based on the ads Ive seen. Man Crunchy ads are gonna get me to watch a lot of stuff. This VRV thing they keep showing ads for is tempting too since it evidently has dubbed Dragon Ball Super episodes

Probably because it came out during maximum isekai oversaturation with seemingly (incorrectly) assumed to be better alternatives, mediocre animation, and an on paper concept that seemed dumb.

Everything was against Overlord!

And it crushed it.

Watched 5 episodes of Megalo Box so far. Still good stuff though that bit where he was afraid was weird. Next fight is against a guy called Aragaki, but it will probably have to wait until tomorrow

I dunno, I feel like that's such a negligible point to the episode and how the series plays out. Again, the fact that's it's literally RIGHT AT THE END ON A BLACK SCREEN. Bringing down the series as a whole because of that one point is silly imo.

It was more of a garnish. The series just didn't really connect with me by the end in general, which is a shame since it's so objectively intriguing.

Greed Island is super amazing and probably better than any MMO anime. IMO anyway. It's probably like the third or fourth most popular arc of HxH in general. Most people like Yorknew more.

For the record I liked Greed Island more than Yorknew because of how well the MMO stuff was done. and of course Hunter x Hunter is fairly creative in general and that helped

I also finished Kakegururi and it feels nice to have another gambling show available those are super fun but so rare.

Of course waifus probably made it more mainstream than stuff like Kaiji/One Outs/Akagi but I'll take it!

Anyway, I just finished Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches. It was good but I couldn't help but feel like it didn't live up to its full potential. A lot of things felt rushed and quite a few characters weren't really developed so I think this is a matter of this just not having enough episodes for the story it wanted to cover, and Crunchyroll comments from people who read the manga seemed to back that up. My other complaint is that I often felt that it didn't handle its subject matter as delicately as it probably should have. I understand that there was a story reason for it but man was there ever a lot of forced kisses in this. Still, I liked the major characters and the powers were used well, so it was definitely enjoyable by the end. Shiraishi was great, I'm glad they got together in the end.

I didn't like Kakegurui, but I didn't hate it either. As far as the actual gambling goes it wasn't very good. But the characters were kind of fun. It was no Kaiji.

Kakegurui is better for the crazy girls than it is for the gambles, yeah. It's enjoyable, but it'll never be great.
