Big Winner of the Week: High Score Girl
-Although the lower ranking might not indicate. HSG was on drop watch after an episode one I considered less than good. I kept it out of "I think this will get better" mentality based on how well they really capture the setting and some of the game culture back then. Episode 2 was great and some more like it I think this show will start to rise up the ranks.

Fan Service
-Harukana Receive right now is getting by basically exclusively by being maybe the best looking show of the season AND having some great characters. But the last cute girls sports show was Keijo and while the overall cast in Harukana seems better Harukana is just not exciting right now. I think I said this after the first episode, the like overall goal of the show seems a little ehhh? Although I am impressed that they actually are explaining the rules of the game in the show (something that is like rarely done). Right now the show has some really good character interaction going for it.

AnoHana Gaiden
-Re'Union is basically like Sword art online mixed with Anohana but they've gone a good direction with this and seem to be making it a sort of mystery to be solved. They've already squashed a big issue I had with Anohana and that everyone knows the girl is still around and they've also been establishing that the characters have dealt with the tragedy in different ways a lot earlier than in Anohana too. Right now the show is on the watch list out of curiosity, but I would not be surprised if this turns out to be a good show.

Comedy
-Asobi Asobase still maintains the top for comedy but both Chio's and Grand Blue had really good episodes this week. None of them are as good as Skilled Teaser Takagi or Hinamatsuri though.

Kill them all
-Attack on Titan came back and like I mean it was okay?

Death
-Angel of Death's writing is just a little too dumb to keep watching.

Planet Without?
-Planet with is dangerously close to being dropped too. Right now it's the only show on real drop watch as I thought Phantom and Island had decent enough episodes to give them another one. Planet With is basically getting by simply by the cliffhanger.

It's not the most popular choice, but A.I.C.O.: Incarnation on Netflix is my favorite of the year so far. It might be worth checking out if you're in the mood for a sci-fi anime. Just make sure you watch it with subtitles because the dub is terrible.

Otherwise, Laid-Back Camp, Hinamatsuri, and A Place Further than the Universe were all pretty well liked by most people who saw them. Devilman Crybaby was a bit more divisive but the people who like it seem to really like it so it might be worth checking out too.

One of his sons still hates him and Shoto is like yo first off fuck you my bro is right but imma watch your supposed development and judge for myself. And the sister is just trying to piece together a broken family as best as she can and be a facilitator for this whole process.

I think the only time 8 weeks is relevant is that its the grace period new series get before their rankings are taken seriously.

I think it's kind of a lot for endeavor to be that repentant when he was portrayed so villainous during the tournament. I guess we have to believe becoming No. 1 was the impetus for him rethinking his whole life. Which is...fine. But I don't think it's gonna be enough for some.

Well that's why I like Shoto's approach to it. I don't think he fully buys it either but he's gonna watch and see what happens. We're obviously gonna need more for them to REALLY sell it, but I could kind of see why for someone who was as cartoonishly obsessed with being Number 1 and surpassing All Might....being on the other side of it finally could also somewhat dramatically alter him as well.

It's an EXTREMELY fine line of being able to write a character like that without it coming off as crass and ignorant. This chapter did a decent enough job to start that though I think. Of course like you said, not everyone is gonna agree because of how delicate of a subject it is.

Oh snap I can watch Chios School Road ep3 today. Also looks like Crunchy has How Not To Summon A Demon Lord or whatever even though I never saw it on the PS4 app. Might have to check out ep1 of that just to say Ive seen all the Ep1s I can. I didnt get a chance to watch Megalo Box last night so Im not done with it yet. It feels good to be watching anime again.

Chios School Road ep3 - Bloody Butterfly 2 not quite as good as the first sadly. XFD the Kabbadi part though. It started off dumb, but the payoff was funny.

I mean Mashima is doing a new series, but also doing the storyboards for at least 1 of the new Fairy Tail series and still is supposed to have a Fairy Tail sequel to debut or something too. The guy just wants to keep drawing and nothing can stop him

Doesnt doing the storyboards mean hes writing it? I mean I dont know because I dont know what all that really means. Just seems like this one is being drawn by somebody else from what I can tell and the art style is similar enough to look like a good copy

Also the other reason FT has more manga is probably because the final season of the anime is airing next season so more manga helps it stay relevant and whatnot. Its pretty cool it took breaks and still got fully animated. I mean its pretty rare for a big shounen anime to get 3 seasons and not just run forever until the end. Fairy Tail is the only one I can think of that ended twice and still came back to finish up. I sure would love to see Bleach come back to animate the rest (they can skip that shitty finale though).

Hell Id love to see some other shounen series come back to finish up (Kenshins a big offender there for most) or even be completely redone (Beelzebub is amazing and deserves better than that goddamn anime it got)
