i was going to do a whole rundown of who i'm rooting for and whatnot in every game but then i realized that this year my EVO wants list is pretty short

- I-No in GG top 8, rooting for Daru
- no Jack in Tekken
- no Abigail in SF

i'm pretty confident i'll be fine with whatever happens in Dragon Ball and BBTag

Alright, I'm out. Went 3-2, so that's not bad. Was eliminated by a guy who I sent to losers, but he apparently plays a ton of characters so he switched it up on me. No matches on stream. Harada was in the pool next to me so I got a picture with him, so that was awesome.

Yeah, he was definitely solid. I would have lost to him no matter what, I think. He was a really nice guy, so I'm hoping he does well. The second dude I played I feel like I could have possibly beaten if I had practiced more SFV in preparation for EVO.

3-2 is pretty good! Once you get past 2-2, you're in the top half of players or better, so good work!

Also, being in the crowd for those crazy matches is the best. I'm gonna miss feeling that energy this year.

Got to play some SC6. Seems awesome, I'm super excited. Feels good to play and the game is gorgeous. I also got to play some SNK Heroines, and boy is it something.

Is the gameplay in SNK Heroines actually any good?

It's very different. There's a button for lights, one for hards, one for throws, and one for specials. I didn't fully understand what was happening exactly, but the right stick lets you use weird items, and you need to use a super to actually win the match. It doesn't seem like it will be viable as a competitive fighting game, but I guess we'll see.

The demo I played of it was really awkward.

the inputs have been made really simple and like mcflubbin said, you can only win via super, its fun but only for a few rounds.
