I used to be obsessed with GameFAQs contests. I'm currently in the process of reading through all contest match analyses and to be honest, I can usually only read eight at a time.

Also to be fair I could hardly blame someone for forgetting a Call of Duty character!

I was hoping he'd be a bit below Shadow, I think he'd be a decent low-midcarder who could pull off a win against like... Vyse and Laharl. Maybe Ratchet strength? Probably higher.

it's more of a passion pick but I think he could surprise us if he gets a good seed

Eh, I don't think it's that difficult to figure out who would be good here and who wouldn't be.

like Metal Sonic is more likely to lose to Vyse and Laharl than just be a bit below Shadow

We already have the 4 NRT winners for the newcomers and 1 out of the 2 for the returners, with the 2nd being decided today.

Godot strikes me as kind of a waste of a spot given how weak Trials and Tribulations has looked and that we've already got both Phoenix and Edgeworth. Still voted for him in his first 3 NRT matches though! I mean when your alternatives are the likes of Shellder, Lugwig von Koopa, and Angry Sun, you take whatever you can get.

If you're really trying to find the third strongest AA character, it's probably Maya.

Godot at least has a cool design though, so maybe he can get a boost from that.

Third strongest AA character is probably Apollo, if only because he's been a lead character. Not that the fanbase loves him, but he's more recognizable than Maya.

Nah, Apollo wouldn't be stronger than Maya. He'd be likely to get anti-voted by the people who actually do know him and haven't played the newer games (unfortunately). I don't think he's recognizable by people who haven't played AA either. Phoenix is pretty much the only character non-AA fans know.
