I think this actually works out better for whoever of L6 is left on finale night (especially in the event JC weasels his way into the F2), since now there will be two L6 members in the jury to tell Hive exactly how they were getting played from the very beginning. Cause as of now, I can see half of them totally shrugging off anything Brett says. Of course if it's Angela joining him, I'm not sure how much of a difference it would make, lol... Hell they might not even listen to Tyler since they're so convinced he was the one being manipulated by Kaitlyn/Angela. Ugh.

the only thing that kinda sucks is that the person evicted at f4 never actually goes to the jury house. they stay in a hotel until finale night and get to join the roundtable so it kinda minimizes the time they get to influence the jury

i really wish the f2 got much more time with the jury like the old days tbh. that is something dan brought up in his ig live 10 year anniversary thing. somewhere between s10 and s14 they cut it down dramatically and i think it is to the detriment to players that could benefit the extra time explaining their games

With both of its formats, Survivor does it way better in that it allows the games to be brought out into the open. BB's ending always seems rushed. It's bad for the game and it's bad TV to watch jurors read questions off of cards. I haven't enjoyed a BB finale in years tbqh.

Nah, it's actually exciting. For now. If JC wins the game, the show is canceled. THAT is the worst possible outcome. That said, I highly doubt JC wins the F3 HOH unless the endurance is tooled toward him. Grodner ought to know that CBS won't renew the show if someone guilty of two counts of sexual assault and at least one of sexual harassment wins in this day and age, right?

The thing is, it's NOT exciting. We all knew that the moment JC/Sam didn't win F5 that EITHER the final 4 would be slightly interesting (if JC won) or the final 3 would be slightly interesting, because the final HoH winner would have to betray SOMEONE they've been working closely with all season long. This scenario means that the F3 excitement happens a week earlier, leading to a boring overall outcome. The only way this is prevented is if the worst case scenario happens a second time and JC wins the final HoH.

Honestly, this season has been shitty and bland. But even in an awful season like BB19, I got SOME measure of joy out of watching the shittiest assholes, that enabled Paul's bullshit all season long, have the rug pulled out from under them. But this...not only does it prevent a satisfying downfall to an awful human being in JC, but it also vastly increases the odds that the only even REMOTELY tolerable person left in the house will be eliminated before the finale. I feel like the people happiest about this are the people who love Tyler and want him to win, and they know there's no chance of him going home this week no matter who wins the veto, so it gives them their mastermind dominator AND the illusion of excitement in the midst of a dull endgame.

I think Angela is interesting - her story is so unique. And she's really nice to look at. And Tyler is likable, but boring - he's essentially a better version of Michael from Ghost, if only because things actually happened to him. Better player, too.

JC has done too many bad things to defend, however.

Dont forget JC is liked amongst casuals. And i'm not going to argue that this season is awful because with Perdiam it just not worth the frustration because i'm the only one who likes good things.

Obviously everyone likes good things, but good is a subjective word. Our opinions differ. You seem to like to see two or three players play a solid game all season, get to the end together and have one be rewarded. And that's fine. I generally find that boring. I'd rather see either the entire final 9 or so playing at such a high caliber that the week to week unpredictability is through the roof, or a complete shitshow of terrible players, especially if the "better" players are out early in the bloodbath.

But either way, it needs to have good characters, and most of this season's good characters were gone by mid-jury. And now it's gotten to a point where I can't even root against the people I hate because they are all that's left, and it makes my skin crawl that one of these four is going to win. That I'd be least offended by Angela winning at this point says just how far downhill this season has gone.

At least with Paul's cult last year, arguably the least-shitty person, most entertaining, and most aware of what was really going on won, and Josh was in fact the only person I could have stomached to see win out of the final eight. Not only that, but I didnt think for one second he could pull it off, so it was an amazing surprise come the finale. This season I wont get to feel anything like that.

My problem with Tyler is that he has been the star of the show since week one, and even now, on the block, he's the only player unsafe right now that I think stands zero chance of going home. And his opinion and HIS gameplay has just been beaten into our head, over and over and over again. Personally, I find him boring in his delivery of lines, not unlike Derrick, who played a similar game in BB16. But the thing about Derrick that I can appreciate in retrospect is that he didn't have the same kind of arrogance going into the endgame that Tyler does now. Maybe that's a general level of immaturity, I don't know. But Tyler is a player who isn't especially dynamic as a personality, he has been in control all season long, and he has become increasingly arrogant as his control goes unchallenged week after week. As a result, I find him unpleasant, and I dislike the idea that I spent three months watching his winner coronation. Obviously someone over-the-top and nasty like Paul is WORSE, but in the context of this season, Tyler sucks.

Kaycee, I don't know what darkx dislikes about her, although I admit that she's not dynamic and her win would basically boil down to comp beasting at the end while being completely inoffensive all season long. Which is not great for a reality show based around personalities.

not quite sure why you think it's a "straight white male" think when you said it yourself, Kaycee refutes all three of those. Plus I said earlier in the season that I disagreed with Rockstar pulling that card on Brett and you know very well my opinion on both of them.

Kaycee is a cocky hypocrite who just shouts "let's go" in the DR now that she realizes it's a thing, and Tyler is a smug bore who just calmly says the same three confessionals in the DR all summer, and has NOT played a good game since the final 9 because he's made conflicting deals with everyone and as I've said before, has been in a position since very early in the game where he was going to be met with very little resistance no matter what, so no shit it's going to look like he played a good game.

And you know something. The people you define as good players arent really that entertaining. Bayley was extremely entitled and was so in doubt that she literally cried and screamed when she got her comeuppance and then blamed it on the fact that she was black. Rockstar who is so concerned about being an LGBT defender and more concerned about her image that she was extremely immature for a 46 year old woman. Scottie was a super fan who was so arrogant that when he lost he tried to write revisionist history to explain all of his failures, Adam Klien style. Faysal was good but because of his faults. He was a love struck puppet whose jealous made his alliance fail. Hayleigh whose show representation and feeds representation are so different that it's hard to believe they are the same person. So finally, there is Kaitlyn and Sam who were good because they were straight up batshit crazy. So who you determine to be good characters, I cannot agree on the slightest. So let's turn Tyler he has his modest Ohio backstory, his affection for Angela, and his love for his dad. Kaycee a strong independent woman who's family is still getting used to her lifestyle and shes proving to be awesome competition. Angela a cold hearted bitch who at the end of the day just wants to win. Brett a guy who was on pace to overcome his own short comings and while he failed to do so he was a good sport about it unlike one named Scottie. And then JC who has the same problems as Hayleigh except reversed.

I find the best characters the ones that are relatable, can accurately narrate the story combined with those that have a good background, a good story, and arcs/story throughout their time on the show. All of which I get more out of on Survivor but still.

Like the best of both worlds scenario would have Brett bringing in Scottie and Hayley with JC to swap the votes but even then that's not in his best interest because allowing to two people who are good at talking, good at comps, and have several friends on the jury. And this isnt survivor where you can vote out anyone by making friends with your old friends. No you put yourself at extreme risk of getting put up in a revenge nomination.

I think the disconnect is that you want to see the ideal gameplay at all times, and believe that equates to being a good character, whereas I want to see personalities, and gameplay is secondary to me.
