I feel like people usually say Samsung or Sony, but it probably depends on the type of tv youre after. Samsung is considered to be the #1 tv brand in the world though I think so you probably cant go wrong with one of those

From a quick Google search Samsung appears to be the #1 brand. LG is apparently the best brand if you want an OLED screen. Sony also offers OLED and has some very nice TVs with easy to use Smart stuff. Vizio is the best budget brand. TCL is apparently a pretty big somewhat new brand that has taken off because they offer 4K TVs at cheap prices compared to other brands.

Dawg I'm looking for suggestions. If someone links a 2000 dollar TV and and someone links a 1300 dollar TV and they both suit my needs. I'm going for the cheaper deal.

It's a different kind of screen technology. An LED TV is just same style of LCDs that have been around forever, just with LED backlights instead of fluorescents. With an OLED, each pixel emits its own light independently.

You know how a black screen is never truly black, but dark gray? And how a blank LCD screen will still light up a dark room when turned on? On an OLED set, a black screen is just unlit pixels. It's as black as if the screen was turned off. This gives you much richer colors and deeper blacks that impossible on an LCD TV. It's an effect you have to see in person to truly appreciate
