Mac Arrowny 09/29/18 10:05:06 PM #203:	Cells at Work beated. I should've dropped this. The show was generally competent and interesting, but somehow also totally boring. It was way too repetitive, and when it tried to do something different it basically totally failed (like the flashback episode). The main flaw was White Blood Cell. He's basically super powerful and solves a lot of situations on his own, so the show's not that interesting while he's around (plus he's not a super interesting character, since he's basically perfect). All the invading bacteria in general were kinda meh. The pacing of the show felt too slow in general as well, like they were adapting a chapter per episode or something. The last two episodes were more interesting than the rest, but even they were super slow. A lot more should've been happening. The other weird thing is that early on I felt like the production values were great. Everything looked really good. The show just fell apart in that respect in the later episodes though. pyresword 09/30/18 10:00:35 PM #215:	Just got back from the My Hero Academia movie Ok so this movie has some silly stuff in it, and it doesn't really offer anything that the TV series didn't already. None of that really matters though because it still managed to put a huge smile on my face from start to finish. Don't really have anything else to say overall, but I do have a few scattered comments about specific things: --One of the most hilarious things about this movie to me was the evident ease with which the characters were able to flawlessly communicate with one another through nothing but subtle eye twitches. By like the 5th time this scene happened I just started laughing out loud and I think I might have been the only one in the theater laughing at that. --I'm really glad that the movie started and ended with shots of two bald eagles flying through the sky. Just in case, you know, we forgot the movie had AMERICA in it. --~~Wish we got more time for just random Class 1-A shenanigans, though that's also something I've been saying about the TV series itself.~~ --~~I was not ready for the fangirl squealing at shirtless Kirishima from behind me at the theater. As a huge fan of the JoJo Manga, the anime is a fantastic adaptation of the source material. I'd say it's the best way to to view JoJo. Atleast until you catch up. Makes some things worse and other things better. Basically equal with the manga I think. Part 4 anime is an amazing adaptation as well.
