I would like to hear more about this amateur diagnosis of me having a mental illness. I am a transgender person. I'm not openly trans in my life. I live as if I was the sex assigned at birth. I don't feel any anguish over who I am. I now accept who I am. I do feel anxiety over being accepted by my family, by society. That is why I currently live my life as a lie. It is a lie I told myself until only somewhat recently. I was raised in the rural south. I repressed a lot of things about myself for a long time. Coming to terms with those things brought me a certain amount of relief. My "condition" does not cause me distress. Society does. People like you. So please, tell me more about how I am mentally ill. I am serious. I want to hear your opinion. I suspect you are merely trying to marginalize a group of people that you don't accept.
