The origins of your nationalism are in survival and protection from communism. That much makes sense and it's 100% different from other European or American nationalism. However, you do massively empathize with western white guilt nationalism. The vast majority of your nationalist energy clearly comes from western sources, especially the US, DESPITE the fact that the fundamental core of your nationalism is bulgarian survival.

This is extremely common though. Propagandists will take your tiny, real motivation, and build from it into whatever the hell they want. It works super well with religious fundamentalists in the US, union workers, poor people in general. Anyone who questions 99% of your beliefs (which are pure propaganda) can easily be rejected by pointing to that core 2+2=4 foundation of truth.

But if you truly can control your own thoughts, how about this: keep all your bulgarian anti-communism, and drop all the other shit that you surround yourself with every day.

The part in bold is not true, but it's not surprising you think so because I don't talk about Bulgarian history/politics here, as there's no-one to talk with. "White guilt" is a completely dumb thing. You can't be held responsible for something your ancestors did.

My nationalism comes mostly from within. I get delighted when I find people and organisations sharing (to a greater or lesser extent) my convictions, but they simply help me refine my already strongly held ideals.

Okay, didn't expect to be debunking bullshit from the left in a Vlado topic but this point is too dumb. Three reasons this is a garbage argument:

1) CA had two democrats on the ballot for Senator. I don't know how many votes were in when you posted this, but right now CA has about 6.5M votes counted (that will go up as mail-ins are counted). Governor is more like 7.3M, so let's estimate .8M Republicans left that part of the ballot blank. Based on Newsom getting about 60% for governor we can guess that ~40% of the electorate is R, so if the Senate had actually been a two party race you'd have about +3M R votes and -2.2M D votes, reducing that 13M lead to an 8M lead.

2) Most of the states which had seats up this year lean towards the Democrats, so you'd expect them to do disproportionately well (and they did; they won at least 23 out of 35!)

3) The Democrats held 26/35 before the election, so of course they have to do well to even mostly hold what they have, let alone gain seats.
