Middle hope 11/01/18 2:25:06 PM #7:	The beta I played was extremely underwhelming. I played several servers and saw very few other people. Every quest was a shitty fetch quest. And nothing I've done so far feels rewarding. The times beta thing is fucking annoying too. I work many hours so I wont be able to play much of it. The few players I did encounter were either hostile and it devolves into a death battle with no real reason, since you get nothing but a pittance for collecting a bounty. And then players would seem to randomly disappear forever when they entered a loading zone. Also the ability to grief people is supreme. You can block a bench so they cant use it unless they kill you which gets them a bounty people can collect if they want a tiny bit of extra money. Or you can door block and shit to piss people off. The game looks like shit too. I know it's best to not expect a lot from bethesda, but it looks very unpolished. Assets clip through everything. Fucked up physics. Armor not fitting properly on characters. Eh it's not that crazy, I mean I don't think anyone was really asking or even expecting this and it's completely counter to what Fallout used to be and the whole "open world survival FPS" genre has been saturated for a few years now and it doesn't really bring anything new to the table so... Like the only reason it could have been popular is because of the IP, but I'm glad people are realizing that it doesn't have to be popular just because of that one factor. Doesn't help that not only did Bethesda ruin the SPECIAL system and skills, they're also forcing people onto their own proprietary software client and the beta's had some really rough bugs (like the one where people's game was getting deleted from the hard drive...). According to every gameplay video it is just as bad as it always sounded. And since they wont let you mod for a year it wont be fixed until late 2019 or 2020. Now the game is nothing but fetch quests! Less than stellar story? Now there's no story at all and there's no NPCs either! Too much emphasis on settlement building?
