Congrats to XIII for finally getting a winner.

Good on ole Cid for doing as well he did. Still can't believe we actually got him to a final that was well.... I guess a 60 vote gap isnt close but still FIGHTING GOAT he was.

Thank you to everyone who supported the Year of XIII. We all stuck together through a lawyering, rallied behind Fang once she was the last one standing, and then we made the miracle happen. There were too many of us for me to thank individuals without feeling bad for inevitably leaving someone out, but I think most would agree that Inviso was the one who started this crazy dream. So, thank you Inviso.

Final Fantasy XIII is my favorite FF and I'm so happy a character from that game finally made it all the way.

I wasn't paying attention and figured Cid would win, so nice surprise to see Fang win. She might actually be my favorite XIII character but none of them are top tier for me.

Congrats to the Year of XIII for getting a win! And Cid fans too for getting him to the final. I never would have expected that from him.

Aside from the Year of the Miracle, Cid P has basically never gone anywhere, with only one other prior top half appearance - and that only barely. He gets a boost from 29.10% to 35.45%, giving him a healthy boost of fifteen spots to 89th.

Anyway I figured that Fang would be the XIII character that had the best odds to win a finals match (pretty sure I've said this too). Every other character has quirks that make some users dislike them (Lightning plastered everywhere, Snow being kind of a dick, Vanille's voice, Hope being Hope) where as Fang is just flat out inoffensive, if maybe a bit boring, and most of the same users that would save Lightning would probably save her too. It was just a matter of mileage, and the year of XIII campaign was just what she needed I guess

Cid P is a solid character, there's better IV characters and better Cids, but this wasn't a bad finals to me

Her victory jumps her all the way from 43.95% to 51.96%, boosting her a whopping twenty-three spots up to 45th.

He's barely missed the field for several years now, and in his first entry he showed why the people have been clamoring to see him make a run for so long. People just love the big ape, and he's going to be a threat for years to come now he's made the field. He makes his debut at #1 in the stats, and I'll give a big OHHH, BANANA to that!

Haha I suppose so. A lawyering, 2 unbeatable trains nobody else could have beaten and sabotaged partnerships have all been Lights obstacles. Im not sure shes had one contest without any sort of drama. This one was close until the lawyering :(

From last year odds for each game

Uh if I had to go with who I thought had the best chance of winning for each game

I - I feel like Red Mage is the only one with true support but maybe Bahamut? Feels weird that the most iconic character in the series has yet to make a splash, maybe hell break out one day

II - Minwu. This contest is your proof.

III - Going to go off the wall here and go Onion Knight. Cloud of Darkness is a great joke but the Onion Knight is cute, also in Dissidia, and may be cool

IV - Kain. Even though hes the rare one that doesnt get lefty support hes the only one that would probably get support outside of him period. Maybe Golbez too? Id love a Golbez run down the road but Im skeptical

V - Feels like this old man Galuf though Treasurer X-Death getting a run makes some sense and would be a pretty ironic winner

VI - Kefka comes back from hard boots next year and can probably weather the seething VI hatred to clinch something in the future.

VII - Honestly, who knows. I want to say Sephiroth with Vincent or Red XIII as decent spoiler picks

VIII - Squall. Laguna probably got a bad matchup here but Squall is who the VIII base falls behind.

IX - Hm... Vivi winning again may be it. Could also maybe see Dagger do something here.

X - Rikku. Im always surprised nobody really pushes for her because shes probably the strongest character in the game.

XII - Ashe I think, though I could also see Dr. Cid do something too.

XIII - Lightning, simply because the other XIII characters need a lot of poking to even get this far

XIV - YShtola is the most prominent one so Im going with her

XV - Noctis unless his Kuma slaying somehow has him flop, that said I would be surprised if any of them even get to Top 10 at any point unless new content makes it fantastic

Tactics - toughie. I want to say Delita has more of the hardcore fanbase but Ramza could get a boost down the road and is the most featured character? Coin Flip here

Bravely - Seems like the fanbase is very much behind Edea from what Ive seen. Will the anti-Bravelys ever support her? Probably not, but I guess shes the games best hope
