I'm anti trump as much as the next guy but tear gas is used on protesting citizens. Protesting isn't even illegal. Entering a country illegally is, especially when your not a citizen and have zero documentation or whatever

be serious, most of this caravan are males (cnn themselves said it) who previously physically overran several checkpoints while throwing rocks and holding their nations flags. there is a real aggressive movement happening and its all recorded on video for everyone to see (not saying they are all like this). the people who launched the gas didnt see a kid and yell "fire". they saw a large group of nearly all men rushing the border and then fired to scatter them.

and its tear gas. yeah it aint pleasant, but its not fucking sarin. chances are extremely low you will be physically harmed by it in any serious way.

I saw a military guy on TV talking about how it's OC pepper (oleoresin capsicum) and you could put it on nachos if you wanted to.

Yes, that's technically true....but concentrated OC pepper in that stuff is 5.3 million scoville. That's over double Carolina Reaper heat and I doubt it's possible for a pepper to ever reach those heights. I'm a chilihead and love the Reaper but you sure as fuck wouldn't see me spraying OC pepper on my food.

Oh come on, no sane person is denying women and children are a part of the caravan itself. I believe their point is,
if you look at the picture of the event in question where peppery spray was used, it is definitely a large majority
of men/adults and the one commonly used picture of a woman and child are well away from the actual wall.

Also, why the outrage now and not in 2013? We're talking 100's and not 1,000s, and no one condemned
the Obama administration when border patrol did the same thing with a much, much lesser sized mob.
This isn't a new, more violent form of response to what amounts to an invasion of US soil than what
we've seen in recent memory. It is a common response, so who the fuck puts their children in danger like
that, knowing full well what's waiting for you at the wall? That isn't desperation, it's defiant, negligent stupidity.

No one says they can't, but there's a process for that in literally every country in the world.

Though, honestly, it'd be nice if their home country could maybe do that. Perhaps if all those hard working,
honest, and industrious people put the same effort into making life better back home, things could improve.

I understand the struggles many of these people endure, but I'm not sure these mass exodus' exactly help
improve anything for their homelands, long term. This is why I'm generally not against outsourcing. It
helps lower costs here for products in demand, helps companies flourish, while providing some of that
good old upward mobility we enjoy here, there. It's a fair trade. The problem is, if the work we send isn't
exploitative, the government and local goons are. However, it's better than sweeping a problem over a rug.

Or over a wall.
