It's going up right now after a big crash thanks to a certain deal with a certain Country. I think the stock will go down again once the XFL starts up because the investors will fear that they are not focused on the WWE

That's the fact. Ratings are irrelevant in a time when you're out preforming just about everything else and networks are desperate for live television that will draw in ratings. That's why shit like sports and reality TV dominate the market. Shit like DVR and Streaming has just about killed network broadcast shows as no one needs to ever watch them live.

And Vince is continuing to expand globally and getting paid handsomely to do so. And it wouldn't shock me if he continues to go to countries that are viewed "questionably" on a global scale, especially ones tied to the current administration through his friendship with Trump and Linda's position in the cabinet. Wait till we get that official Russia and North Korea show.

After several years of being heavily pushed, despite popular pushback, the thing that finally got Roman over was cancer.
That's the problem. WWE is stubbornly declaring what the audience will like, and doesn't seem to notice (beyond, you know, editing in canned heat) when the audience disagrees.

I think the only reason New Day gets to screw around and have fun is because Vince and Trips are too distracted by desperately pushing the idiot musclehead face of the day.

none of the wrestlers are special in their own way. every one has the same gimmick - generic tough guy hoss (Drew McIntyre/Strowman/Lesnar/Lashley), generic jack of all trades face (Rollins/Ambrose/D Bryan/Styles/Roode), chickenshit heel (Miz/Jinder Mahal/Ziggler).

Also doesn't help that they get zero competition on TV. Hardcore fans may be flocking to ROH, TNA or swearing by NXT but Vince still has a monopoly on the industry.

The problem was like Roman was awesome. To get him over all WWE had to do was step off the gas a little bit. Have someone else main event WM one year. A slight character change to show they were listening to the fans would have got him over, but WWE wouldn't do it.

And New Day is basically lol random XD nowadays so it isn't like they are the best of characters

Agreed. People shit on him and call him an old man who yells at clouds, but he's right 99% of the time.

Even if everyone knows it's fake, if its done right it can work. Wrestling used to be a simulated athletic contest between wrestlers who had over the top personalities that you could take somewhat seriously. Now it's treated as just a show by both the promoters and what fans are left.

WWE is just so corporate and sanitized that it's not enjoyable and too many Indy promotions are just straight up silly. Everyone is too busy trying to take the piss out of wrestling now that nobody besides the people who enjoy that want to watch it. Wrestling is just going to become more and more of a niche product.

It's too much about doing crazy flips or doing silly "comedy" now.
