Im not actually sure.

Whilst baby guinea pigs are small, they are still quite large as a baby animal.. and if that lady got 5 pups...

It would be a chorus of little wheeks lol. And just imagine how much food the mama would have to eat to raise all those hungry babies. Poor girl would have to be eating and nursing pretty much nonstop.

They do still need their mother. Might be nutrition related, but should be able to nibble hay day 1

According to desc. these are a week old and eat both

Have any of you guys ever heard your guinea pig chirp like a bird? Its a very rare sound; out of all the pigs Ive had in my life Ive only had two that ever did it, and only a handful of times. It sounds like this:

After listening to your video I think the chirping my pigs made was closer to that one. I havent heard it in many years though. Funny how guinea pigs have such a rare noise that is still not fully understood. I wonder if yours was indeed related to her piggie buddy passing away.

Its and old video, but i will say, i dont think the guinea pig was all that terrified.

Little guy didnt try to climb up afteral and i think they would have.

I do agree thats a bit too much.

Even if the piggie likes it, its too deep.

Ya, this one makes me a little nervous.
I think it was done in good taste.
But there should have been something in there to climb on..
...Or really the person should have put their arm in the water for the Guinea...

Yeah, I agree that the pig didnt look too frightened or anything, but it also made me a little nervous to watch with how deep the pool was. I think a better way would be to partially fill up a bathtub that has a slanted bottom, so they could wade or swim a bit if they wanted to, but would always have the option of getting out on the higher ground. Still dont think Id try it with my piggies though lol

I have seen that happen though not with mine.

Poor neighbours had to spend the better part of a full day (24 hour period) to catch them again, due to hiding in the hedge outside

Guinea Pigs like hiding

Its fine to put them on the grass, just place the cage on top, its safer, the guinea pigs (mine do atleast) heavily prefer it as well.
