You could tell something looked off when Silver was struggling to get back up, but everyone just carried on. Then after a minute of no response, they just went for the pinfall and the ref paused for like 4 seconds between the 2 and 3 count. Steiner 05/12/19 5:21:17 PM #64:	I THOUGHT this week was going to be a little less intense to keep up with, with no NJPW, but at the end of the week there ROH really delivered a couple of great matches - that said, here's my top 5 of the week! 5. Kenny Williams and Noam Dar vs. Grizzled Young Vets (8/5, NXT UK) The Scottish team really made the most of the atmosphere in Glasgow here, even with the thrown together replacement for Amir Jordan this is the best case of building to a match we've seen on the NXT UK TV yet! 4. LIJ vs. Lifeblood (8/5, ROH War of the Worlds) EVIL and SANADA are so over in the States and it's a joy to watch 3. Matt Taven vs. Mark Haskins (11/5, ROH War of the Worlds) A few months ago you couldn't have paid me to watch a Matt Taven match, but between the broadway with Lethal and this, it's getting harder to completely hate the guy. 2. Dragon Kid vs. PAC (6/5, Dragon Gate) I'm not familiar enough with Dragon Gate for the history of this match to hit home, but thankfully PAC's character work is the best in the business right now and no further reading is required when you see how vicious and full of contempt he is in these title matches. 1. Matt Riddle vs. Adam Cole (8/5, NXT) I thought this was the best Riddle has looked so far in NXT, with his offense really beginning to stand out in a way the Ohno feud wasn't designed to do. I'm so excited for his run at the top of NXT. honorable mentions: Sami/AJ/Kofi (Smackdown) PCO vs. Taven (ROH) Kyle O'Reilly vs. Chris Ridgeway (Progress) Next week: Best of the Super Juniors begins! How do I even begin to preview what we're getting this week? Apparently we have this Wild Card thing because Vince is getting pressure from USA and Fox about having the best guys on their shows each week and they just want to do away with all of the brand split altogether. I think the brand split will get harder now because then you won't ever see 3/4 of their roster anymore and I feel like one of the shows will suffer a lot from it regardless since their writing system is such a disaster. There was also a female writer that won a day time Emmy and brought it into a writing meeting and Michael Hayes led the charge in resenting her for it and thinking she was rubbing it in their faces, while Vince laughed it off. They want to be recognized for the Emmy's all the time and instead of treating a co-worker well over it, they want to resent her for showing what she probably presumed were some of her work friends an accomplishment she's proud of. Like, you could complain they're doing utter nonsense with Sami Zayn by having him win the match over Braun after being squashed the whole time and then being murdered after the match again, but they've long since established literally nothing matters, so it feels kind of not worth to really complain about.
