I kinda wanna try this for at least the last couple months. What would be the best source material? I assume there isn't a repository of scripts lying around so maybe just a reviewer that is free and easy to go through the backlog and doesn't offer much flavor or commentary.

You know what this title needs in a few months time?

It needs to disappear. The current holder is not known, and no one is fessing up. The last titleholder was attacked from behind and someone wearing ref stripes gave the count but could not be identified. Everyone wants to know who is the champion. Trust and bonds are tested, lowcarders are attacked and pinned backstage as more and more desperately try to win the title. It's the biggest event of the summerand only one team are smart enough, dogged enough, and stylish enough to track it down.

So Quack is hitting his 25th year as a pro wrestler so he is going to do 25 exhibition matches with chosen opponents to celebrate. Apparently many emails have been sent out and he has also put out for people to contact him if they want to take part. I expect Colt, Ophidian, ZSJ, Hallowicked, John Francis of Coronado, Arik Cannon and Orange Cassidy. Will be interesting to see who else ends up part of this.

I'd love to see some old regulars like Chuck Taylor, Jigsaw, Kingston, or Gran Akuma.

That would imply one title is more important than another.

Which in turn would imply that a title is important in general.

Which would imply that titles can be important.

That's the opposite of what WWE wants.

I rarely post in these topics but came in to say just wow.

Caught up to Raw today and the 24/7 title is just the stupidest, most embarrassing thing I've seen in a while. I legit laughed out loud when I saw the title and the lengths to which WWE would shamelessly go to for TV ratings at the expense of their extremely talented roster.

I hope AEW destroys them for making me feel ashamed to be a wrestling fan like they did today.

This made me cringe worse than Bobby Lashley's sisters and Bayley's It's my life, your life whatever segment.

I wish this title gets thrown in a garbage bin and incinerated ASAP. Just ****ing embarrassing. Wow

If Vince wants the writers to do comedy, they should stop with the spiteful Revival crap because it's not funny, and just give all of the comedy stuff to Truth/Carmella, Heavy Machinery, and The New Day.

Braun actually had that good comedy moment with the stand up bass, but nothing that I can think of since then has been particularly funny.

Owens wont go to Saudi Arabia

Late Tuesday night shortly following Smackdown, Fightful Select was informed and reported that Owens had told WWE officials that he didn't want to work WWE's upcoming show in Saudi Arabia, titled Super Showdown. We weren't told a specific reason as to why Owens came to the decision, but his friend and longtime tag team partner Sami Zayn has been off of those shows because of strained relationships between Syria and Saudi Arabia with WWE stating WWE is committed to embracing individuals from all backgrounds while respecting local customs and cultural differences around the world.

WWE is saddened by the death of Ashley Massaro, and we reiterate our condolences to her family. However, we regret that her attorney Konstantine Kyros, who filed multiple cases against WWE, lost all of them, and was sanctioned multiple times by the Court for repeated misconduct and false allegations, is using Ashleys death to further his malicious campaign against WWE by releasing an affidavit that she submitted to the Court and later apologized to WWE for being involved with, so we wish to make certain things crystal clear.

At no time was Vince McMahon or the management of WWE ever informed by Ashley Massaro or anybody else that she had been sexually assaulted, drugged, raped or sodomized by a military doctor with a nurse standing guard while on a goodwill tour in 2007 to U.S. military bases in Kuwait. In fact, if she ever articulated such a claim to WWE, we would have reported it immediately to the Base Commander.

At no time was there ever a meeting with Vince McMahon, Kevin Dunn, John Laurinaitis or other company executives in which she told them of such a claim and was instructed to keep it quiet.

I hate to say "In defense of", but Dave Meltzer isn't sure these claims are wholly correct from Ashley because shortly after the lawsuit fell through, Ashley was noted in interviews saying that this wasn't correct and she was just following orders from her attorney, and that she was trying to get back into WWE shortly after.

That said, we can also recall that the attorney for this case was an absolute idiot and likely a scumbag too considering the entire lawsuit was thrown out due to his own gross incompetence and I always felt like he was taking advantage of these wrestlers.

It could also be that it's also totally true and Ashley just said that it wasn't so she could try to get back into WWE after the lawsuit failed. So it's hard to say what the situation is exactly.

But replying at all to this was not the way to go, but I think they're doing it because people are going to be paying attention to their scummy behavior again because they're going to Saudi Arabia again.

A follow up on the Ashley Massaro story, the Affidavit claims that Maria told the others on the tour about it, but Jimmy Hart and Ron Simmons did not remember this and Ron Simmons was floored when he heard about it.

Maria claims she "doesn't remember". But if she was told about it, she wouldn't not remember it. So you can infer what you want from that statement.

It's a messed up situation.

Edit: Ashley also apologized in a letter to WWE for what she said in the Affadavit after the case fell through and blamed the lawyer. In the letter, she also didn't claim she lied at any point in the apology, so you can also make of that what you will.

I just noticed how similar Money in the Bank from this year and 2016 were. Seth (Charlotte) takes the title off Roman (Becky) only to get immediately cashed in on by Ambrose (Bayley) who had won the briefcase earlier that night.

Dave seemed like he has sources that corroborates it.

And when it comes to actual investigative journalism, he's normally very reliable about getting two sources to corroborate.

And if it were a fake apology WWE made up, I doubt the takeaway Dave would have had was "But she never outright said she lied in it."

That seemed a bit outlandish a claim to me anyway but I didn't care enough to really argue it. I know people suck and there is plenty of corruption in the military but I don't know, man. Consider the details: For instance they used a paralyzing agent that keeps you fully conscious. Is there any benefit to using that over l don't know just a normal sedative other than making the story more ironclad?
