So I went in not liking Tadano, thought he was too perfect and just too much at first but he ended up actually being super cool, I'm just not in love with the way he was introduced with the driving school. And boy I almost got really upset with Haida starting episode 10 but they actually managed to keep it pretty chill with him and he ended up being supportive of Retsuko, I'm content with that. Oh, Fenneko got kinda shafted this season I feel, kind of unfortunate but maybe they'll get a 3rd season and she can get more.

I'm the opposite. I started off liking Tadano when he just a lazy dude at the driving school. But once they revealed who he was, hell of a twist by the way, and delved more into who he was I started liking him less and less.

Bullshit that Fenneko had so little screentime. Best character.

Also kind of feel like Anai was still kind of fucked up for doing all that stuff to Retsuko and co. even if he ended up having a change of heart, but I guess at least he didn't actually end up doing any permanent damage to those he was blackmailing and whatever

Girl's Last Tour complete. Good show with a great atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

It's all a redub. The original is also not going to available. Considering Netflix has it now and it likely won't ever get a physical release in the states, consider the original Eva dub another victim of Netflix Anime Manslaughter.

Because it's Netflix and they hate you.

Honestly probably legal reasons. Evangelion is legendarily a situation where the license for it is TOTALLY fucked, which is why this was a big deal to begin with.

Does have the sub option, though.

These VAs are just trying to sound like the originals, at least Misato and Shinji, which was the worst scenario. Not liking Shinji.

Also, they're pronouncing NERV "Neyarv".

Asuka is the only one who's VA seems to be making an effort to stand out and as such is the only one I respect here.

Misato and Rei just sound like diet versions of the originals.

Shinji I really don't like.

Oh, not a clue. I was basing it on release order until I saw this and looked it up, forgot this is one of those series which jumps around a lot... I normally do release order with this sorta thing. Should I be watching them in chronological order or something? Or not? Not seen anything outside of Bakemonogatari before, was about to start Nise. Any particular recommended order?

Can't get over the Fly Me to the Moon cut, since this whole thing was supposed to be the triumphant return of Eva to the public, they unfortunately drop the cash on a brand new dub, and yet the ONLY explanation for it being cut is...they were too cheap to pay for the license?

I assume Fly Me to the Moon was an issue because Gainax obviously didn't get worldwide streaming rights back in the day and the songwriter's estate thought Netflix would overpay for it. It sucks, but it's unlike a lot of things it's probably not really Netflix's fault.

Speaking of baseball girls anime did Cinderella Nine improve? I saw lots of people say it was super low budget looking. I only saw ep1 and was hoping it got better, but maybe not

It got even more low budget as it went on, then improved slightly but still doesn't look great.

I'm enjoying it though. It's nothing special but it's still cute girls playing baseball.

I just finished Hitoribocchi no Marumaruseikatsu and I thought it was really good! Bocchi was a great lead character, I enjoyed watching her struggle to make friends. All of the friends she made had their own quirks that were fun to see, too. The only downside was that her "best friend" Kai-chan was a despicable person who dragged the show down every time she was mentioned, but other than that this was a solid anime.

Release order, but maybe watch Kizu between Bake and Nise since that's the LN release order, and the Kizu movies were announced before Nise's tv anime was, but Kizu ended up in delay hell.

Also finished Hitori Bocchi. Good stuff from start to finish. Bocchi herself best character of the season maybe? And yeah, they could've done way better with Kai. She had the opportunity to say Bocchi didn't literally have to be friends with everyone in the episode where she comes back, but nooo, she just doubles down on it.
