korol_i_shut 06/04/19 9:22:49 PM #1:	I've been thinking about trying to make extra money lately and about all i have time for outside of my job (7 am- 6pm) and after the kids are asleep (not until 9pm most nights) might be something internet related, i watch aris sometimes on twitch and he makes money it seems, he had profile before he started streaming (commentating tekken tournaments) so I can see how he can do it. but as a guy with no profile, trying to start this, would this just be a waste of time? what could I try to do after 9pm that i could do for 3 hours for extra money? things are about to get pretty hard for me financially, I mean we have savings but I'm starting to get pretty worried, i have to try SOMETHING. <cite>korol_i_shut posted [p:922798654] in how did pe... Even if things go perfectly it could easily take years to see a return. Also, most of the smaller streamers starting out seem to be really active on other channels. Unless you really like the platform and all it has to offer, even without the possibility of payment, streaming will probably require more commitment than youll be able to do. There are streamers out there that just do it for fun. They play their games that they want to play and talk to a few people. Not actually a bad way to play games in your recreational time if you like the kind of interaction a chat room can offer. I really dont think theyre trying to turn it into a profitable gig. Others are clearly trying to become a big thing, but are still lacking the engagement. Frankly, I think they have less of a chance than those who just do it for fun. Im glad youre considering Uber.
