The more I've read these topics the more I've grown to actually genuinely hate Phil as a person. I'm actually pissed off reading about the things he's said and done to his parents, significant others and the few friends he used to have. He has done nothing but lie and manipulate his way to where he is now and frankly he doesn't deserve any of the success he's getting or has received in the past. He is a complete scumbag with no redeeming qualities whatsoever and the people who still defend this behaviour and donate to his scam of a twitch channel are only making things worse.

The internet would be a much better place without his toxic online presence. I can't believe I used to be a fan of his...

No one does. He makes 6 figures a year, why spend your money on a game when you can get others to buy it for you? Phil has struck gold with the Amazon wishlist, and people are falling for it.

I really hope he fucks up though, because he is still required to pay taxes over gifts, people have been telling this in chat too, multiple times. I can't wait for the sequel to the tax saga, where he will be dumbfounded on that fact, and will blame his tax guy again.

Hmm... it would be interesting to see DSP not pay any taxes on the gifts, one of his viewers reports him to the IRS and DSP ends up getting audited.

The unfortunate thing is that his viewers would be expected to cover any extra costs. I don't think Phil is intentionally trying to cheat, because he doesn't want the IRS looking into his affairs, but he should be careful.

But someone wanted to buy DQB2, and send it to Phil. Phil asked for 65 dollars in stead, because someone else was going to buy it off his wishlist.

Take it with a grain of salt, since someone replied this to Phil on his tweet that he couldn't afford DQB2.

However, I would say that it is possible.

Why would you spend your own money on things you want, when you can get other people to buy it for you. Yes it's pathetic that Phil begs for shit, but it's also sad as fuck that people actually do it.

But Phil also fails to notice something in this whole situation: he doesn't have an increase in viewers. He keeps asking more and more of his fans, but they aren't made of money, the well is going to run dry eventually, and by double tapping that well (expecting people to give him donations/bits/cheers and now also games), it's going to run dry faster. The summer holiday is also going to be interesting, when people take vacations and spend time away, streams for everyone will get slower, including Phil.

Phil will do nothing to adjust to this fact, like he has never done. He will adhere to his schedule like it is the word of god, stream times can never change, the games he plays can never change. The pre-stream needs to happen, etc. It has been said time and again, but Phil's biggest detractor, is himself.

Just a heads up:

Phil already started the same excuse as for DQB2 with Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3. He might not be able to afford this, and the game releases on friday the 19th.

He is basically now begging for people to buy his games. Take into consideration that Phil gets paid by Twich either the 15th or the 16th, so there is no way in he, he'd not have the funds to buy this game.

I read this on the farms, but I am really inclined to agree with it, so I'll word it as good as I can.

I believe that Phil believes he is poor. When you go to the store to buy some patties for your sliders, most people will buy them for a couple of bucks. Phil shops as Schwan's and a slider costs roughly 8 bucks a pop. But knowing Phil, he probably shopped somewhere where they cost 12 bucks a pop. So in Phil's mind he is already doing what he can to save money.

Take someone who clears 6 figures a year, and lives like it. Then through whatever means they have to downsize. They make half of what they used to make, but if you don't adjust your expenses, then you won't have much money left at the end of your income, and then you are indeed poor. If you adjust your expenses, and start buying "cheaper" products, then you'll have a lot more money left at the end of your monthly income.

This is what Phil refuses to do, he is making less money (and yes, I get how that sucks), but if you refuse to adapt to your situation, then yes, you'll be "poor". Bear in mind 8 dollars per patty, is fucking expensive, and we know that Phil has 2 mortgages , 2 internet lines, etc. So who fucking knows how much more he spends than he actually needs.

And if you keep repeating the same (lie) over and over and over, without letting anyone challenge you and banning/blocking anyone who tells you differently, then you'll start believe that lie. Phil lives completely in his own bubble, his own world. This is why he bans anyone who challenges his narrative and why is deathly afraid to do podcasts, interviews and what not. Because you can bet your ass people will call him out.

So yes, in Phil's mind, he is undoubtedly poor, but that is because he refuses to adjust his expenses to his income.

People wanting to know about the behind the scenes stuff that is keeping him in perpetual financial crisis are just being nosy. They should see that he is stressed out and needs help and support him.

Based on actual evidence Phil has provided, he has done literally nothing to cut costs and try to reduce his debt. All we get is this never-ending cycle of "I'm in the worst financial situation of my life, my accounts are overdrafted, I won't have enough to cover bills, the best way you can help me right now is to tip me, I'm broke until the next Twitch payment." Any specifics on why his situation keeps getting worse--and any proof that it actually is getting worse--well, that's none of our fucking business. I've always been hesitant to call his business a scam, because I think it's more complicated than that, but when someone needs more and more money and refuses to show any evidence of what that money is being used for, that kind of sounds like a scam.

If he is telling the truth, then what harm is there in showing some proof? I know he uses the excuse that he can't reveal any information because the trolls will use it against him, but if the truth is that he's broke despite doing all he can to fix things, how are the detractors going to use that? If anything, it would make them look like the dirty liars he always says they are, and it would encourage people to donate more when they see he really needs it. The only reason to keep things secret is if he's lying about his situation.

If anything, Phil gained even MORE revenue by marrying Kat. She brings in money, right? Where is it? I'm honestly thinking Phil is lying to fans just to put all that extra money he is begging for into a savings/IRA/401k/whatever in order to not find a job.

Phil has been lying about money for years, the problem is, it works.

Like I said in a post a couple of replies earlier: I believe that Phil believes he is poor.

But yeah, they both have an income, if anything since she moved in, things should have gotten better.

So a few possibilites exist, all seem equally possible and a combination is likely:

-Phil always has been, and still is well off, and want to keep the extra income.
-Phil is horrible with finances
-Phil has actual debts, and they just keep growing due to his spending habbits.
-Kat made him sign a prenup, seperating their incomes.
-Phil immediatly spends money as he earns it.

Also, it's really convienent that he takes tuesday off this week, when it is normally thursday. It also happens to coincide with his Twitch payment, which is due today. No sir, no coincidence there.

There are no consequences to his lies: the detractors (and pretty much anyone who's looked into him) already know he's a liar, and his fans either believe him or don't care. Any old video evidence that directly disproves what he's currently saying was taken out of context or is a sign of how much he's changed for the better over the years--and only fucking mentally unhinged detractors bring up the past anyway.

Phil's content has been so bad lately that I can barely sit through the detractor videos, but I might have to watch him play Mario 64. It's one of those games that almost everyone has played and is pretty much universally loved, so I am interested in seeing Phil make a complete mess of it.

This secret financial crisis thing is kind of the perfect scam. He can keep asking for more and more money because, unlike with the tax saga, there's no set amount that he needs, and the crisis will last until he says it's over. Of course he is, first he's got to milk it for all it's worth. As long as nothing is set in stone (a number, a deadline, etc) he can just keep going endlessly. I think he begun to realize he can't keep using the taxes endlessly (though come this year's Thanksgiving, I fully expect a new tax saga), he has to have a filler in the time between.
