One of my coworkers never shuts the fuck up. Hes handicapped so I cant be rude to him so I need to tell him I have an illness where I cant do a lot of talking so hell leave me alone. Any ideas are appreciated.

For real. If TC was a real man, he wouldn't resort to bullshitting lies like this. He'd just avoid his coworker, or be aloof with him. Passively put up with him without showing any real distress, like how any dignified person would act with someone who's annoying. But instead, TC is actually asking a message board of strangers about how to lie to a handicapped man, because he's certainly not the best at socializing with others. After all, if you're planning to deceive a handicapped person, you are most certainly not the best at socializing.

Tbh youre in a hard place. I had a similar experience with a dude suffering from Aspergers. Tbh just tell him youre busy or you need to get your work done. Idk if straight up lying is a good idea.

Jus tell.him to stfu like u would anyone else u shouldn't treat him different cause he's handicap that's messed up if u do.

I don't see anything wrong with this. I lie to children and the elderly all the time.

Yeah his deal is that every verbal interaction has to be a full on lengthy conversation. Instead of something like The doors were locked he would say something like hey just so you know I went to the front door and I tried all of my keys and just to give you a heads up even though one of the keys fit, it wouldnt turn, so yeah I went to the back door and I tried unlocking that one for about five minutes yeah and the keys didnt work there either but the same key fit in that lock but wouldnt turn just like the first one so i thought maybe the key was just bent but when I looked closer it was really just fine so I think you need to email the contractor and get him to give us a key for those doors because I couldnt open them
