Technically not true, they DID die, just....they got resurrected by Miku Alter. Given we've got 2-3 episodes left, I expect shit to become acquainted with the fan to a degree we have not seen yet in the show.

As I'm catching up on Symphogear, I have to wonder why the JSDF funds the advancement of symphogears when putting the Commander or anyone of his lackeys in a similar suit would prove more effective, given their latent abilities to rofl stomp everyone on the team with their bare-hands.

Except that's bullshit since half the current wielders aren't legitimately "chosen" instead drugged so they match the mental profile to actually use them.

I'm guessing that the stories of the anime and mobage will branch apart a bit, with the anime's story being darker than that of the mobage. I'm far from the only one thinking that the new original character that was created just for the anime was only added so that they could kill someone off for shock value without killing any of the main cast from the mobage or original anime. But maybe they'll throw a huge curveball and actually kill off one of the main cast (Momoko? Yui? Who knows?) instead. Either way, I'm hyped for it.

One problem for me though: Since it's an Aniplex show, chances are it won't get a simuldub. So sometime between now and January, I need to rewatch the original Madoka Magica subbed so I can get used to the Japanese voices, because I watched it English dubbed the first time.

Over-Time's subtitles are the ones that most streaming sites use. Their translator for Precure went missing after episode 28, and they still haven't been able to contact him. Anon fansubber was still going and subbed 29 and 30, but he posted on Friday that his area was in the path of Hurricane Dorian and he would likely lose power, and that's the last we've heard of him since.

Also, after finishing Girlfriend Beta, I started on a new series. And by new series I mean pretty old. I started watching a show called Rozen Maiden, cause cute doll girls. I'm 8 episodes in and really liking it. The dolls are adorable and the episodes are fun. Would post some gifs, but that would involve looking up the gifs, and you know, spoilers and shit.

I found it pretty enjoyable, even if it's definitely one of those battle tournament anime primarily aimed at kids. Contrast with Chobits, which had a lot more fanservice than I remember when I first tried to watch it like 7 years ago.

I started watching Kobato which also takes place in the same (rather alternate) universe.

Rising Of The Shield Hero did, sort of. Compared to Naofumi's ANGER AND VENGEANCE AND FURY in the first few episodes, the rest of it was fairly tame, lighthearted isekai stuff. It only occasionally sunk back into the edginess of those first few episodes, and never as bad as it was then.

Then again, I haven't read the manga and it has two more seasons coming, so I could be proven wrong.

Yeah, mangas are what Im talking about. Attack in Titan has Eren going psycho and going back in time??? to convince someone to start a genocide. One punch man has Sweet Mask massacring innocent hostages, something that didnt happen in the webcomic.

So I stayed up tonight watching the rest of Suite Precure. It was pretty solid, not the best Precure series that I've seen overall, but it was still a lot of fun. I give this show credit for having the best cast of non-Precure characters (both allies and villains) that I've seen in any of the series that I've seen so far. Also, apparently the main villain of this series shares his voice actor with motherfucking Frieza, so that's kind of cool.

Watamote went from cringe humor to (not very) cute girls doing cute things. I still enjoy the manga because seeing Tomoko make progress in her high school life is nice. It's just that I also enjoyed the earlier chapters.
