I never really thought of the ultimate alliance games that way. To me, they're more like the arcade, side-scrolling beat 'em up games, but modernized in 3d.

so kinda button mashers without as much depth as diablo

Yea, Larry told me that his son is really enjoying it and is fun in co-op, but by the fourth level it just becomes rather repetitive. Guess the game is just more appealing to the 7-8 year old crowd.

Didn't even know this game was being made. Thread got me excited, then I found out it's for the Switch only. Ah well.

A Switch exclusive, and programmed by Team Ninja. This one caught me by surprise. I've been hearing a lot about the grindiness, but that's not really a new thing in this series, IIRC. Still want to play it.
