Considering we've spent the last month or so voting for our favourites between games in completely different genres, I don't think ranking 5 games of the same series too much of a stretch :)

MGSV may have the best gameplay mechanics on paper but in terms of actual design and content (never mind story), MGS3 kicks its ass so hard that it lands in a different galaxy.

You know, Peace Walker should really be on this list. Even though I wasn't a fan of the bite-sized level design, I really liked the cast dynamics and the basic premise of "bunch of dumbasses build an ocean fortress", so it might get over MGS1 for me.
