I mean it was about busy college girls and he was a college professor, but even so, big freaking deal. Maybe if it was like a christian college or something but it wasn't. I guess they fire female teachers if they have nude photos or have done porn, which I also think is crazy btw, but this is taking it even one step further. From the sound of it though he was basically fired, but they let him save face. I personally think they couldn't have fired him for that and they basically tricked him into resigning. Before I got my credentials in CA, I volunteered at El Roble and actually got hired as a teacher because nobody at the school could fix the computers after the older elementary students muted them etc (so the younger kids couldn't use them). This was like 10 years ago, and obviously not a college professor, but it's quite likely he didn't have a clue that the porn site was in his favorites bar on the top (I don't think he actually had the tab opened or anything, it was just a site he visited often or that was autommtically put in his favorites tab). But this is more of an ongoing thing where teachers are held to a standard and if they do anything that parents might consider as a bad role model to their kids (I'm Soooooo sure that the college aged boys in his class had never visited porn sites before) the teacher gets fired. It actually happens more for girls than guys though, any sort of porn or nude photos etc, and bye bye teacher. That is completely insane considering how much work/time/money is spent to become a teacher in the first place. How is it ok for a woman to go to school for 4 years and spend at least another year getting her credentials and then have all that effort be wasted because she had some naked photos taken. I think I remember once that the photos were from an ex boyfriend that leaked them even. Ok, well we don't really have a position right now, we closed 2 schools so we have about 40 experienced teachers looking for work. But there is a new school that opened 40 miles away you could commute to, and good news, it's in another district so instead of making $32k a year, you would make 35k a year for the first 5 years!!! Um, well, that is kinda a long commute, especially with traffic, but I guess I could move there. Awesome, I'll forward your resume, but first, lets just make sure you are eligable. Um...why wouldn't I be? I have passed many background checks already for student teaching etc (too many....waaay too many)....what could disqualify me? In the past nobody cared about this crap especially at community colleges. The one I went to had one asian guy who was a serious sailor moon fan and....yeah......just right. Another teacher (my western civ class) literally spent the whole semester telling us about her trip to france, no history, ever, just her trip to france. I wrong the final paper on computers (western civ dude) and got an A lol. Seriously the show community doesn't even come close to covering some of em lol.
