eryth sea has always been a burnout region even for first-timers

it's the point you definitely gotta give up doing everything and covering every inch of land for your sanity... although it's also the point with a bunch 'o time restricted quests

For any first timers, don't worry too much about those quests expiring. They don't do that for a while, so there's no need to do absolutely all of them immediately.

If you want to know when they expire, it's after Mechonis Core.

First time around I didn't want to the Eryth sidequests until I at least got the party back together.
Then more and more plot kept happening, but clearly a Mechon Invasion is the best time to pick flowers.

I just hit 5* with Colony 9 after turning in the quest for finding Cheryl's dead son's belongings. Then I unlocked Shulk's fourth skill tree from Desiree.

Now hurry up and let me rebuild some shit already.

I'm taking a little break while visiting my brother. Started feeling the burnout a couple days ago, so it'll be good to jump in fresh. Also realized that I was never using Dunban's best Aura, so it'll be cool to jump back in and play him a different way.

Is there something specific about 8 and 9? I just jump the clock 24 hours normally.

It doesn't even need to be an hour jump. You can go from 9:01 to 9:00 for example

I found best luck switching between 6PM and 7PM when it switches from dusk to night

I've been avoiding this topic for spoilers but I'm about 20 hours in, just got to the forest area. Game is pretty good so far but good lord there are so many side quests. I mean I knew that going in and I was prepared but last night I played for 4 hours and I think I was just doing side quests.

There was a Nopon in a cave in the marsh that gave me like 7 quests so I had to keep going up and down the mountain to talk to him. Just have him move to the camp after the first quest so I can fast travel to him!

lol I just scrolled up and saw someone else complaining about Zazadan too

Ha I spent like 8 hours one day just doing side quests. I'm almost 40 hours in and just about done with Makna Forest. x_x

I'm just picking up sidequests and if I happen to complete one as I go along, great. But I'm trying not to get wrapped up in them. I vow to not do any of this sidegame rebuild Colony 6 stuff.

yeah personally I'm totally enjoying my time going through quests, but I get for some people it's just a big checklist chore than anything else

but hey I'm even enjoying talking to everyone I can in Frontier Village day and night, especially making my way jumping down onto lone platforms with Nopon on them that you're not sure if you can get to!

I was down to do sidequests until Zazadan reminded me how obnoxious they can be.

Why can't everybody just be like those guys who give you a bunch of quests all at once that autocomplete?

dammit I forgot about this one quest I never get right with Kofu[censor]ko, where one nopon suggests using rare ingredients but Kofu[censor]ko just wants cheap shit and you get a vision of the disaster that causes

so yeah that quest has two options, give the good stuff or the easily found stuff.......... problem is, you'll likely have enough of the easily found stuff already so the quest auto-completes that part right away and you're stuck poisoning the village

That happened to me last night. A couple quests do this and it's really dumb.

Current part is Shulk/Reyn/Dunban. I stacked HP Up gems on Reyn and he never dies, and Shulk's defense-down debuff with Slit Edge means everyone tears enemies to shreds.

damn Upas and Hodes weren't dropping their Embers or Camouflages so off to check trade items I went!
