The only way to get night killed is for scum to kill you, since no town with a shot would shoot you and lower their chances of a town victory. THEREFORE, you must be the greatest asset to town ever since it's the only way to get scum to nightkill you. Unless of course, you made that fakeclaim as SCUM to give yourself an excuse as to why you never die at night.

Also, I feel like I agree with bolt - we should just play normally until my win condition gets close, then y'all can all go with the route that lets me win as easily as possible.

What made you lean town on what you think is a fake claim as opposed to scum? Everyone in this game, scum and town, has the same incentive to lie if it helps them win.

exactly. Its likely that almost everybody will throw fake claims left and right and most of those wont belong to scum players. So lying in itself isnt going to constitute a scumtell at all.

as for this one in particular, it feels too obvious that its even approaching joke territory to me? I dont buy that anyones win condition required them to die by circumstances 100% out of their control and its also just asking for yourself to get lynched later in the game if you maintain that claim

I have very little motivation to scum hunt this game given my win condition and all. It sounds like a lot of people have RNG roles so I do wonder how feasibly I can help you win. Everyone being transparent is good for me, and just know that I'll make it good for you :)

I can still point out obv town though. Sheep and Lea. They are 100% confirmed town till the end of game no matter what happens (Well, unless there's a Cult recruiter LOL). This wont mean anything till I exit the game and flip town. But yeah :)

And no, you misunderstand. I'm here to help everyone. I just dont judge people based on their difference of alignment. We're all independent survivors on the inside! Sure, the scum have that nasty extra win condition of hiding and outliving town, but they also have a win condition to help us by having them exit the game. There's good inside of them!

oh dont get me wrong there is 0 chance hes telling the truth here regardless of whether hes town or scum. But this is a compelling case that he isnt just making a throwaway joke.

It's probably something like codenames being required on the scum forum, I doubt that scum coming forward will actually happen.

After doing stupid mafia math, I've come up with an idea. Ben, your chances of winning go up with each player still alive, correct? Therefore, lynching someone who has an attainable win condition reduces your chances of winning quite a bit. Because of that, it would be beneficial to no-lynch when it does not appear that a specific lynch helps attain a goal, UNLESS you think they are likely scum (because that both meets your own backup win condition and helps several others, myself included). I personally benefit from both of those circumstances, the latter slightly more than the first due to it giving me a higher chance of being targeted at night, but still. Assuming you are one of the better players, I'm wondering how okay with following those guidelines you would be? I think it would give me and by extension, you, a greater chance to win, as well as directly giving you more opportunities to win.

Yeah, I was thinking last night when I first flipped thru this that No Lynch might actually be a valid strat for a change. At least unless we're pretty damn sure someone is scum. Depending on how many not-scum players can early win we could end up at MyLo/LyLo way earlier than expected. It also depends on how much killing power Plum put in the game, which I've tried to wrap my brain around via setup meta but it could be anywhere between 0 night kills or a whole damn bunch. With the flavor being zombies I kinda wonder if instead of night kills there's like 1 scum player who can recruit or something. Like, it's Independent Survivor right? So I doubt there's a scum team but instead like 3-4 Indy scum roles.

Ooooh, secondary thought. If there's no scum team there might not be a risk of LyLo/MyLo, at least until a recruiter could zombify some people. Is recruiter an every other day power here like Vampires are in ToS?
