Just because the anime girls look like underage schoolgirls doesnt mean they are. For all we know they may have been bitten by vampires when they were 12 several centuries ago and a side effect was that they grew nice firm ballooning boobs yearning to escape from their tight clothing.

Those mini game where we get to rub their body parts as they act all embarrassed is the highest of art and its a shame that kind of stuff gets censored while trash like TLOU2 doesnt.

The big deal is that Sony is shamelessly allowing an explicit sex scene in TLOU2 while piling extra censorship requirements onto Japanese games and their developers. It's blatant hypocrisy. Either hold TLOU2 to the same standard and have it censored as well or don't ask other games that are already far less explicit from the beginning to censor themselves even more.

When it comes to censorship why does it matter? A critical acclaimed sex scene is not any more family-friendly which was Sonys reasoning given for censoring sexual themes. And Im fairly sure there are no actual sex scenes in those games so calling them pornos is very dishonest. Theyre more comparable to raunchy high school romcoms.

All sex scenes (the game was originally an eroge visual novel on PC) and all scenes of full nudity were removed from the original console port in Japan back in 2017, and the new release for the Switch will be the same. All of the non-explicit and non-nude scenes were left completely intact. But the developer said that Sony told them to censor the PS4 version even more (probably asked them to cover up or flat-out remove some of the more revealing scenes) for this new western release. So again, this is Sony telling developers that a game that was already within the bounds of an M rating needed to be censored even further for no good reason.

That doesn't explain why Hyperdimension Neptunia, Omega Labyrinth, and Senran Kagura, all video game franchises with no explicit content in any of their games whatsoever, were also subject to the same thing. Those game franchises have never showed a single nipple or sex scene in any of their games, yet Sony made them cover up non-nude scenes even more.

It's a Sony policy, and they're forcing the changes to these games late in development, making developers work extra time just to "fix" the PS4 version to meet these stricter standards... standards that, again, TLOU2 and other western games get to bypass and break without a second thought.
