Seriously! The left is a scummy den of villainy! We've got riots going around breaking into stores and getting released claiming it's 'reparations' and other stuff, blatantly breaking the law, violating civil rights (shutting off water and power to people hosting large parties) and being blatant hypocrites (condemning peaceful gatherings such as churches while championing the riots). How the hell could I even consider supporting the left at this point?

Not that the right is much better. We've got idiots not wearing masks believing that C-19 isn't real or some other stupid belief and being extremely ineffectual and basically taking forever to do anything. Do-nothing Republicans who just sit around all day effectively hoping that things will get better if they do nothing. All while they get banned, harassed, and everything else across both social media and real life. Sticking their damned heads in the sand and hoping the riots don't come for them next.

This stuff shouldn't even be political in the first place! It shouldn't be controversial to wear a mask or social distance, to open a small business or go to church while engaging in those things, or the like. We shouldn't ever be supporting or excusing violent riots; especially ones that do things like set up pathetic autonomous zones and demand our police get disbanded. What do you THINK will happen if the police get disbanded? Sunshine and rainbows? No! It's gonna be mass anarchy as criminals get to do whatever they want because no one is around to enforce the law! You can't say it's okay for people to go out and protest or riot because 'it's a racial injustice' or 'they are making a choice' but then condemn people for going to a church which they see as more valuable than life itself (the afterlife and spirituality) especially if they are doing so knowing the potential consequences AND using masks/social distancing peacefully to boot? Do you think this will all just go away come next election? That, regardless of who wins, things will be peaceful? If Trump wins we'll see four more years of screeching from these people 'rebelling' and if Biden wins they'll be completely unrestrained in how they act! A whining and screaming brat acting out like this needs discipline and for the parent to do something. Not going 'they'll just cry themselves out and go back to being normal'.

This whole nation is going down in flames because the two parties can't get along at all and one is full of crazy radicals who would sooner burn their own cities to the ground than consider working with the other party and the other party is ineffectual at best and believes it will all blow over if they do nothing. I'm freaking DONE with U.S. politics!

The behaviour you're describing of the left is the behaviour of unelected people living in poverty that have no representative power for anyone whatsoever. It is not perpetuated by politicians. Politicians have vocally supported the heart of the movement but have overwhelmingly rejected the acts of violence and theft committed by a minority of protestors.

The behaviour you're describing of the right is the behaviour of elected officials. They perpetuate it on social media despite blatant evidence that they're sending a false narrative. One of their own died as a result of their message yet they continue to double down on it.

Yes. The poor and poverty stricken... Upper-middle class white liberals in freaking PORTLAND AND SEATTLE! They have no representative power at all beyond their own mayor outright joining in their own riots. Politicians who don't support them except by doing their best to defund the police, letting them have their own autonomous zone, and done everything in their power to protect and champion the protestors and rioters.

If you seriously believe that the liberal politicians who are championing these causes and doing their best to defund the police are, somehow, NOT supporting this I have a bridge between the Earth and the Moon to sell you. If that was really the issue don't you think the governers would be doing their best to re-open small businesses to give people jobs, protect truckers who are refusing to service cities that are destroying their police force, and deal with these riots that are destroying businesses? Do you legit think that these freaks running around and demanding stores submit to their list of racial equality demands actually CARE about the poor and impoverished? They're the ones beating up and destroying everything!

So fuck the left. If they look at these damned rioters and say it's only the impoverished being unable to eat and rebelling against racial injustice then they should add on 'let them eat cake' to the end and maybe spend a good five minutes looking at a guillotine before laughing and waving it off while saying 'that will never happen'. Then at least TV tropes can have a bit more foreshadowing in the inevitable entry.

As I said; I have issues with the right as well... and this is part of it. They had a bloody chance, a multitude of bloody chances, to actually address this damned issue. To try and think of solutions or even acknowledge the problem. Yet the party that ended slavery couldn't be assed to care and just swept it under the rug as just 'a few bad apples'. When it became apparent that PoC's were going to jail in larger numbers and for longer periods of time, instead of doing literally ANYTHING to even acknowledge that there might be a problem they instead just swept it under the rug and said that the police were just doing their job, enforcing the law, and everything and it was the black peoples fault. Had they done ANYTHING BLM might not have even formed in the first place. Had they even considered that there might be a problem that does exist that falls on racial lines instead of just some schpleal about how they 'don't want to be racist and it's their fault if they fail' then PoC might not be entirely freaking democrat. Instead they just sat around spewing ideology as excuses for their apathy.
