In a competent company, the character change would be ongoing for a show or two. The attack by Bayley was the catalyst, now we see how Sasha responds, and that response is what would make her a babyface.

When a face attacks a face, this is the worst sin imaginable and makes the attacker the most evil.

When a face attacks a heel, it's fine because that dirty heel had it coming.

When a heel attacks a face, that is bad booooo what a jerk.

But when a heel attacks a heel, then we suddenly realize that the victim isn't all that bad really and honestly is pretty cool and you forget anything bad they recently did.

Hope this clarifies things.

Also, from what I'm seeing, initially WWE told talent they couldn't use their likeness or real name at first before there was pushback from talent, and then the pushback from others such as Andrew Yang is going to end up making them back off of the third party ban entirely. and let people do what they're doing as they were.

Speaking of maddening heel and face alignments.

Brandi is still being a total asshole on commentary this week.

After last week telling off Anna Jay and saying she doesn't care that she lost the tag tournament.

After the week before that she was choked out by Anna Jay while defending her husband.

Holy shit Brandi just pick an alignment and go with it. Like, on commentary she just talks about how shitty Allie is in the ring and how embarrassed she'll be if she loses and it's like WHAT ARE YOU!? I don't know whether I should like her or not like her and it's just making me hate her in the most wrong way.

i kind of think that no matter how sasha responds, if the impetus for the turn is not in her hands and she doesn't have agency in the story, it's difficult to truly get behind her. if bayley hadn't attacked her, she would still be being an obnoxious brat

That was not how that match was supposed to go.

I still don't know. Aubrey did everything she could to kill the match after Matt clearly couldn't stand for way more than a ten count. They rang the bell and cut away. If it was a work, they really pulled it off well.

No, Aubrey did everything right. As soon as he hit the concrete and he didn't squeeze, she stopped everything, didn't count, nothing. Then she called the match off when Matt couldn't even stand. And Sammy covered by screaming "This isn't over" as they pulled him away.

This is on the doc alone, because even if Matt says he wants to keep going at that point you have to stop him.

Some people are saying if you slow it down, it looks like Matt's shoulders took the brunt of the fall.

I find it incredibly hard to believe that the doctor would allow him to wrestle if he felt like he had a concussion. No matter what Matt would say. I'm willing to eat crow on this if they totally screwed up on this, but if he did think he could have had a concussion, that's a complete screw up.

But the FTR vs Omega/Page match really drug. Fans who are there are saying the humidity is absolutely killing the crowd enthusiasm right now. It's a shame but uh, I think this settles the debate on if FTR or the Young Bucks are better.
