I feel like this misses the point though. It doesn't do a lot of good to ego check a read half the day in, the point of those reads is largely to make waves in the game to see what happens. Even a day 1 mislynch is ok in theory if it makes the correct waves to solve the game.

No need to be so risk adverse 24 hours in, Plum.

If B8 was better at not lynching the same people over and over again I wouldn't have cared so much. I've definitely popcorned the occasional game where a random train starts on you day 1 because it usually doesn't end with you lynched.

This is 2020 mafia, the only thing you should want to do is lynch Chris. it's the perfect end to this fucked up year would be to lynch chris day 1.

I feel like Scare is a little like me in the whole 'oh fuck I forgot how to play mafia' but unlike me isn't clever enough to just chill for a little bit to get my feet back under me.

in a 21 person game the amount of scum is likely to either be an absurdly strong 5/21 (not likely on board 8 though) 6/21 (which is exactly 28.5%) or some weird 7/21 with maybe a third party.

So it's not that rough!

Dowolf didn't look that great, but Death felt buddying to him in a way that he tends to do in a Scum/ Town relationship and I feel Death seems more scum in this pairing at this point

DYL doing DYL things like fucking off and watching a video of a past game instead of contributing then coming back and doing fuck all in the most words possible does not a town make

Lea actually bothering to hunt down my past games is a good look because she can usually just talk her way through whatever she wants with me, so she's actually both bored and engaged and looking to win so assuming she is town we're looking good here

Battle is his standard self that I always feel right with, nothing about him has concerned me thus far

Johnbobb has taken an extended absence from the game and he came in quite relaxed and having fun. He has no nerves like I would expect him to have as scum as I recall him being a bit jittery as scum in the past

In any case, I'm still not impressed Scare. Really fast flip to joining Chris on DYL. I know it was also a farce that you wanted to go after Chris, but still. Awful accommodating of everyone. Although you did eventually come up with a good reason to lean town on me, I had not gone after you by the time you first called me town. Although you can say it was just a joke because I wanted you to be shirtless, there was nothing in the list post to indicate it was a joke. Both seem to be justifications after the fact, as opposed to a more town perspective where you have thoughts before you act on them.

I'm not sure if I'm explaining that perfectly but I implore you, the audience of this mafia to lynch this total SLIME as he slimes around this game acting all slimily.

You settled into your previous town flow pretty quickly from my perspective. Not exactly the "good point ##vote" level of fluid, but similar enough that I was comfortable calling you town when I read up. The shirt was the topper

Plum, if you had to guess if I were town or scum right now, which would you pick? Doesn't matter if it's gut, or a weak feeling. I'm also not the biggest fan of day 1s, but I have a different stance regarding day 1 reads...

Scare finally gives his reads after a Chris nudge. Perhaps I lack the raw charisma required to force an answer out of him... I'm not sure what to make of Chris/Scare. My gut is saying that something is off, but that's my day 1 gut which doesn't have the best track record.

How likely is a scum Chris to step in and try to guide scum Scare out in the open like this? Scare wasn't really in any danger though with just two votes on him, Lea and my own.

Chris says that Scare is being a sheep rather than scum, though I wouldn't dismiss the possibility of both. Aka, making a obviously lighthearted vote on Chris(Who wouldn't feel the need to rip him to shreds), and obeying him the moment Chris begins to get serious.

"Why would Scare act the way he's acting if he's Town?" That's a question I don't have an answer to right now, his actions make more sense as scum right now.
