You have to issue martial law for the whole country to do a nationwide lockdown at the federal level. It's essentially a non starter, even for Trump. You have to convince every governor to do it on their own.

It's up to people to take their own measures. By the time Biden is sworn in the vaccine will probably be ready for distribution or close to it.

If you're expecting help from Trump, you're not getting it. My advice would be to email your governor and ask them to enforce a lockdown until the vaccine is distributed.

by time he's in office the vaccine is probably gonna be on the way to getting distributed. just distribute it to the elderly and high risk first. in michigan we're back in a lockdown. not as heavy as the first one...yet. i imagine after this 3 weeks is up they'll expand on it. we're gonna be lockdown till the vaccine.

I think it should be distributed to "essential" workers first. Elderly / co morbidity people second. Everyone else just whenever you can.

Actually the first lockdown did it's job and lasted two months.

But it was much harsher.

This one is literally open borders so to say so it's not stay in your house 24/7.

No one is thinking about the first line workers in hospitals there too busy thinking of what this means to them.

It essentially helps the hospital workers and doesn't break there back so much.

but I pretty much expected people to hate on biden and gavie for this.

I just hate that schools are out. I get why they are out, but it still sucks . I can tell it's really messing with my son. He's six and needs that social interaction with other kids.

I can tell a difference in his additute and behaviour when he's stuck at home all the time. They just went to at home learning a few weeks ago and we can really tell it's had an impact on him. He misses his friends and wants to go back to school.

He isn't say there wont be shutdowns. It is dependent on the situation. He is saying he isn't gonna shut down the entire country, but certain places depending on what is going on may be shutdown if it is necessary.

First of all fuck all the people who don't want to. I don't want to clean my bathroom but I do it anyway. They're getting the vaccine. Secondly, the vaccine is over 90% effectiveness. That is more than enough to drive the virus into extinction like we did with smallpox (also 90% effective vaccine)
