Was this during the '60s comics run, because I've recently started reading X-Men from the beginning and Magneto is kind of a jobber so far.

The story's pretty recent as far as comics go, it was around 2012.

That was fun. Sounds like Agatha said she just hypnotized some guy into being Pietro and he's not X-Men Pietro, bummer. Maybe I understood her wrong.

Needless to say there's a mid-credits scene. White Vision yaaaaay.

Just a bit of a recap episode. Kind of dull, although it's nice to see Wanda's backstory fleshed out more. It was all kind of glossed over in the movies, even in AoU.

I figured two of the biggest complaints about her character in the movies was that she seemingly randomly got her powers from the Infinity Stone and that they never called her "Scarlet Witch". This fixes up both of them nicely. So the implication is that she was a witch even before contact with the Mind Stone, right? I do prefer that origin honestly.

Slow burn episode. But I think necessary. My expectations for the last episode are through the roof though.

Also I am just realizing I basically remember nothing about AoU.

Was really happy with this episode, basically Scarlet Witch origin story. Also, I have no idea how they are going to finish this up in one episode.

I don't want to be a negative nancy but this episode bored me. It was 40 minutes of stuff we already know (her being broken from loss) bookended by story that moves the plot along. Great acting throughout but a little bit of a slog.

At this point I think this is just six hours of fluff with the end game of wanda gets over her loss and now they have an excuse to bring Vision back

great episode.

having an episode completely devoid of darcy and jimmy was nice.

again, it wasn't that long, though. does this mean the final episode is going to be feature film length? i'm down!

My prediction for what we saw in the post credit scene...

The white Vision turns out to be Ultron, because that is all that is left of the what made up that Vision with Jarvis and the Mind Stone being in the Vision already inside The Hex.

I think this was the first episode that's actually kind of disappointed me

i mean, it was fine, but didn't further the plot at all at a time when it feels crucial. Didn't have any of the mindbending sitcom magic that makes the show special. The Scarlet Witch name reveal didn't even feel special (I honestly didn't realize they'd never used the name before)

i also REALLY don't like them just skating over the Quicksilver conundrum by just saying it's a "Fake Pietro" and leaving it at that. If it tries to end on them saying it was just some guy she hypnotized and not the Quicksilver we all know that will have been such a ridiculously annoying red herring

still feel like there's more to fake pietro than what we've been told so far but yeah, if there's nothing else to him, that sucks. kind of cheapens his amazing reveal at the end of episode 5.

theres no way hes not foxsilver. The people from mcu wouldnt cast him like this and have him be just some random dude. Thats too meta. If this was a Deadpool show or something then yeah sure they love meta. no way hes not foxsilver in what is the opener to a bunch of movies about the multiverse

Which would mean he's the real deal.

And we know Hayward is definitely up to some shady shit. I'm still betting Agatha and Pietro are the good guys. Or at least not so bad guys.

I'm fairly confident he's going to end up being that Quicksilver still. Agatha never said he was some rando, just that he wasn't her brother since her brother is dead.

Him being Pietro from an alternate reality doesn't make that statement not true

Ill go on the record and say that episode was one of the best things the MCU has ever done. Wanda feels like a fully fledged Avenger with an origin story now

Yeah it was a necessary episode. I didn't really enjoy it that much on its own but I'm glad they delved a bit into Agatha's and Wanda's pasts. Hyped for the final episode.

Agatha killed a dog. Theres no way shes a good guy. Hayward and her are just two unrelated antagonists: one for Wanda and one for Vision/Monica

The closest to hero I can see her getting is Loki style where shell help out if theres some bigger threat that also endangers her, but shes not going to be doing stuff to just help other people.

Since we're getting close to the end and there's only a 1 week (I think) gap after WandaVision ends before it starts, but how is everyone feeling about Falcon & Winter Soldier at this point? Hype? Not hype? Moderately hyped?

Meh. This episode was the weakest one yet to me. I agree that it didn't really add much we didn't already know. It seems like a very polarizing episode - you either thought it was the best or the weakest.

And come on - of course Agatha is evil. That was clearly established when she wiped out her clan and killed her own mother. She has no intention of helping Wanda - she only wants power for herself, which again - sure isn't it help humanity.

She may end up making it out of Westview without being the main villain of this show, but even if the climax culminates in a face off with the military - Agatha will certainly return as a villain in another show or movie.

My point is we don't know the reason she killed Sparky and it's not impossible that she had a reason beyond being malicious. Also I will point out that she seems generally concerned about the source of Wanda's power, she could very well just be misguided in how to deal with it.

Man I do not get how so many of the comments about this last episode are that it was boring and slow, I was really gripped by it, I think it clarifies a lot of mysteries while also giving us a lot of new emotional background for Wanda that we didn't really have before, and it's just oozing with great acting and interesting character moments, plus Agatha is great the whole way through

she literally said "and I killed Sparky too" and then cackled

I never liked Bucky. He's always been a terrible character and Captain America should have just let him die multiple times.

So, I have very low expectations for the next show. Hopefully it surprises me as much as Wandavision did.
