Do you have proof it's just a tabloid? Wikipedia doesn't appear to agree. I do see it mention one instance where they got a death wrong (though they did say it came from an unidentified source), and then how the North Korean government hates it and constantly tries to threaten them since they're critical of its policies.

Looking into the paper more, it sounds like they've consistently faced threats and even imprisonment over being critical of things such as the Japanese police force's use of violent force against Koreans (sound familiar?) and other bad government policies, and have continued to do so despite the constant threats. Doesn't sound like a tabloid to me, sounds like a paper that isn't afraid to let their voices be heard.

Like I said before, I've seen plenty of people defending North Korea ever since Trump decided he wanted to be friendlier with them. I just didn't realize the lasting impact it would have, was hoping they would throw that away once he was out of office.

He called them a tabloid that gets multiple things wrong consistently and pays refugees to apparently lie about the place they're risking their lives to flee, which is gonna need some kind of source to back it up. Otherwise, it is, in fact, propaganda.

I said that the south korean intelligence agencies pay defectors, which is true. And not everyone that leaves north korea is leaving just because it is hell to live there, for example it was heavily publicized some time ago that a defector ran across the dmz to the south and had a lot of parasites, but his reason he told agents in the south was that he was facing a charge of murder in north korea. Of course, given his many parasites, it probably is hell to live there! But that isn't always why people leave. And actually some defectors go back, though I'd guess in some of these cases, they defected to get intel to bring back.

I'm going to ask again why you've felt the need to defend North Korea of all places lately

EDIT: I'm also going to ask again for a source on any of your claims, from "This paper is a tabloid" to "People are being paid to lie about North Korea being bad"

I don't consider what I've said to be defending north korea. I'd also like to point out that the guy claiming trump people are defending north korea failed to give a single example of that, btw!
