Now to be fair it totally would have been on me if you used it every topic and it had most of its karma and whatnot, but it's something you clearly use very sporadically considering it's 6 months old with only 12 karma, so forgive me for not instantly remembering who it was. If I don't know who a barely used alt account is, I'm just going to ask, and if they don't answer then I'm going to assume there's a reason they're not.

Rock could ignore me and itd be perfectly fine, but seeing people responding to something without quoting and then I have to log into a new account just to see what everyones talking about is annoying.

I admittedly don't remember what Rock blocked you over to begin with, but I've definitely been close to ignoring you over the "Where's my money" memes and the Biden twitter stuff since it's literally all you were doing for awhile.

IMO you should just make a different alt and start posting "okay good start but where's the other $600, Joe?" to become more blocked than anyone has ever been. Always go for #1.

I can tell you the exact moment he blocked me, he said Bernie wasnt liked and picked the only result that proved his point, I provided like 6 that showed he was, told him he was being weird for cherrypicking a conservative site to prove his point.

Then like 2 months later he tried to retroactively say he blocked me over my RBG wedding post, even though that happened months before he blocked me.

I think it was @Mr_Lasastryke who saw and confirmed my side last time this came up.

Get rid of alts. While blocking like a baby because you don't hear what you wanna hear is childish, being able to circumvent the ignore, block, and suspension by using alts is also very broken and poor. I get it pumps up their "numbers" of accounts this site has, but it is dumb.

My philosophy on blocking at this point is essentially: if seeing their posts is noticeably a net negative for me, I'll get rid of them. I went a very long time without blocking anybody on anything, but man, life is hard enough without spending all day fruitlessly pissed off online. I'll probably be left in some sort of extreme left echo chamber eventually, but I'm trying to resist that temptation as well.

I'll unblock him sure. If he's stopped pointlessly whining about Biden's milquetoast Twitter feed I'll take him off of ignore, too!

The only reasons I had Tony all the way to block in the first place is, uh...well, his tendency to make a huge stink and make multiple posts about it for weeks afterwords when he finds out someone had him on ignore, and to start @ ing people about it...so yeah.

I suppose it's actually easier to just keep these people on ignore instead because then they won't even notice.

blocking is dumb but not for this reason. like tony said, it's super annoying when you're trying to follow a topic and posts are missing. blocking is a really petty way to "punish" someone for making posts you dislike. "haha, i'll make this topic less readable for lasa by making some of my posts invisible for him! that'll show him!"

ignoring is fine, though. saying "i'd rather not constantly see ulti's (for example) terrible posts so that's why i have him on ignore" is perfectly reasonable. nothing chidish about it.

i myself have 0 people blocked or ignored, for the record.
