While a decent chunk are probably either trolling, being technical smartasses (it's oblong spheroid!), or something similar a full 4% of people from all age groups believe it is flat, 5% are skeptical of a round Earth, and 7% hold no opinion or aren't sure. That's really unsettling. It's really scary how they fall for it so heavily. There ARE some arguments for Flat Earth that do make sense, and even though almost all of them are easily disproven, these people's minds latch on to the "truth" they have been shown and make up crazy excuses for the facts that disprove it. And they are in general just not very smart and don't know high-school physics. I even got one to say he would never drink water with dihydrogen monoxide in it. I think 4% is not correct though.
