SquareEnix are money hungry scum. They already know the beginning and ending to the story and no need to change the gameplay from what they had in part one...I don't even know why the fuck they have multiple parts to it. I am pretty sure the next FF won't have two parts and it would be newer than FF7 remake. Those scum won't have my money until FF7 remake complete is on PC for $10 or less. Same with future FFs.

my goodness. Ill be 50 by the time they get finished with this remake. The people whove been asking for a remake that played the original in the late 90s are full grown adults. I appreciate that theyre talking their time with this but this is ridiculous. Hopefully theyre working on more than one part at a time.

I would say the absolute earliest is the end of '22.

The latest? Well, if it takes as long as the first part then 2025..

But they are going into it with a lot of assets already in place..

But if the game ends in the Forgotten Capital, that means they are gonna have to essentially create the entire world map..

Unless they create a largely linear path that won't open up until the third game, which is the point when it becomes necessary for full open world exploration once you get the highwind.

It's honestly hard to predict.. I think the ideal release schedule for them is

Origins or whatever it's called early '22.
XVI late '22
VIIR-2 mid to late '23

But nothing is ever ideal for Squeenix.
