Is it though? sounds like you're wrong per usual. Seeing as police deadly forces account for half of a half of a half of ONE percent. In the yearly 150 million police contacts. and that number has gone down each year, and has steadily gone down against minorities, a big issue for a lot of people.

idk what else to say but maybe you read should data and learn case law idk

You're the one justifying the killing of innocent bystanders. I'm not the misguided one here.
It's almost like youre taking it at face value and not understanding the totality of everything. Which is also how its judged. Nobody is applauding her death or saying it's "justified"

Chase and tackle him. He didn't have a gun. It was a chunk of metal. Shooting inside a mall a couple days before Christmas is a massive risk. Someone told me there were other cops nearby and the criminal could have been intercepted probably 10 seconds later, without shooting any guns

100% this

A single cop should know how to Double Leg & RNC an untrained perp pretty easily. With two cops it should be like taking candy from a baby.

The problem is that the past 20 years have seen a cops duties & expectations basically morph from Batman to Debt Collector.

Its pathetic. Here in SF the women police officers actually wear acrylic fake nails which would prevent them from even practicing any basic forms of combat but they dont know any to begin with so it doesnt really matter anyhow.

Not true. Police are taught shitty Combat Techniques in the academy and then never again.

There really should be monthly training/seminars with consenquences for not attending or keeping ones skill up to par.

For instance, if you get too fat to perform the techniques you are suspended until further notice.

This I'll argue against. Being effective with martial arts takes a lot ot training. They don't have time except to learn some very basic stuff. And it would be considered job training and by law one must be paid for job training. Good luck getting that approved in the budget not like they are the military with the highest budget in the country.

We correctional officers get taught some basics. Very poorly imo but one of us at my unit took his own time to learn ju jitsu. Tried going pro mma. Lost 9 out of 10 fights and the 1 was a tie. Got bodied in the first round everytime. And when I say pro I don't mean ufc. It was some only within the state circuit.

So basically he went above and beyond to learn martial arts on his own time and it's still not enough.

I'd be more for rubber bullets being standard issue alongside a real gun.

Not true. It depends on the art. Three months if jiu jitsu from a credible source and you should be able to disarm an untrained perpetrator fairly easily as long as it isnt a gross mismatch like pitting a woman against a man or something.

The sad reality of the matter is that police forces higher both the physical & mentally weak on purpose. Because the city wants sheep it can control, not good cops who will risk their own well being to serve and protect the community. That would just make everyone else look bad and hurt the bottom line.

I went through the academy and worked for the SFPD for two years. I have many friends still in the force. A good portion of my college wrestling teammates became officers for the PHX PD its a bit different down there. Officers are much more physically capable, so it does vary from city to city.

My previous statement was just for Bay Area police departments.

Also. Sterolizer. Everything you say is a lie.which is why I tried to stop responding to your posts. For example, earlier in this topic you said

I witnessed a tiny female cop actually draw her weapon on a crazy homeless man armed with a f***ing tree branch, a f***ing tree branch. I couldnt even blame her, as she had no other option to protect herself. So I walked over, took the tree branch away and told the guy to scram.

but in 2020 you said the same story, but this time the
cop shot this homeless man several times

A female police officer showed up. She was by herself (big no no) was about 5'3, and fat. The crazy guy tore a small branch off a tree and began swinginh it towards her. She shot him. He lived, but like, it was two to the chest. She also missed a few times and shot through the cafe's window.

The officer was fearing for her life. Because of course she was. What else could she have done? Absolutely nothing. She had no other option but to shoot him. Meanwhile had it been a male officer he would have taken the branch away and told him to get lost. Their wouldn't even have been a report made. Easy stuff.

The suspect was supposedly armed. The officers called out to the guy to surrender and the suspect attempted to duck behind cover. What you're suggesting is the officers allow the suspect to roam free and potentially harm more people. You say don't go around blasting, but what exactly do you expect an officer to do when an individual is armed with a weapon and has already harmed people?

Looking at the footage prior to the shooting I would say it's justified

Guy was a nut. He was vandalising and pushed someone down the escalators which looked unprovoked

He could of killed the person he was hitting. One swing to the head would of been lights out and he hit the victim multiple times

On top of that the dispatcher was told the guy had a gun. Police entered thinking he was armed and was about to flee

Nah, cops that arrived could have gotten confused on who the actual criminal was and could have injured or killed someone innocent. This is part of the reason why cops tell bystanders to not get involved if possible and just later relay eye witness testimony to them.
