Fan? No. But his earlier stuff was... Interesting? I can't really say it's good, as I don't particularly like it, but I appreciate the talent and artistry of it all. He's very talented in his specific sphere.

Yes. Its a simple separation of medium and person. I don't know if he's gotten a bad rap over the years as I don't pay attention to that stuff, but I grew up with his earlier work, and his version of "This is Halloween", is one of the best covers I've ever listened to.

Antichrist superstar was such a raw energy for him and everybody around him that he just never replicated it. & yeah his sound with the Spooky Kids that lead to A.S. was more cartoon-ish sounding, I enjoyed it but I can understand why others would not.

Skinny Puppy and Coil were going strong, the best NIN albums were coming out, Ministry was beginning to leave the genre behind largely but still putting out really good music. I think even KMFDM was better than Manson even at his height

I don't hate him I guess, just don't really find most of his stuff interesting

Gene Simmons and to a lesser extent Paul Stanley have had their issues in the past. The number of people who refuse to work with them grows by the day. Gene is a bigot, racist, and a misogynist asshole who literally has articles written about him about how he is arguably the worst person in the music industry. Shortly followed by Ted Nugent and Sharon Osbourne.

Yeah, Manson was really my gateway to those artists.

I used to love his stuff, but now its eh.

The Evan Rachel Wood allegations made me go yeah, nope, not listening to his stuff anymore, but Id already been turned off his stuff after seeing him play a festival.

He behaved like a spoilt brat on stage and was really abhorrently rude to the stage hands. iIRC he stopped mid song to make a stage hand take his jacket off.

That said, I saw him live for his mObscene tour and its still one of the best concerts Ive ever been to.
