Sonmez's lawyer said in the suit that she had suffered "economic loss, humiliation, embarrassment, mental and emotional distress, and the deprivation of her rights to equal employment opportunities" as a result of the ban.

But on Thursday her case was dismissed with prejudice -- meaning it can not be re-filed -- by Judge Anthony C. Epstein of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia Civil Division. Epstein ruled that Sonmez had failed to state an actionable claim.

That was a totally inappropriate thing to retweet; that said I would not have called him out on it publicly. I would have talked to him in private and given him the opportunity to do the right thing. But that's just me.

The joke is kinda funny though. Especially since it's clearly a joke.

Journalists on social media represent their outlets on their accounts. It really isn't a good idea to make sexist jokes if that's the situation you're in. It's like sending out the joke to everyone in your office from your professional email.

I'm liberal as well but this woman wants to cancel and assassinate the dude's character entirely. He apologized and is being punished already, what else does she want?

If you want to go there, she is probably trying to absolve herself of guilts that cause her anxiety. She is aware of the atrocities of our system, but enjoys a good position from within that system. Contradictions bubble up eventually, so to answer that she wants to convince everyone else and herself that she is a good person.

Being openly sexist tends to get you in trouble at any decent workplace. Especially when you broadcast those beliefs to the public while representing your company.

How the hell does she still have a job? She tried suing her employer and has a history of trash talking her colleagues. I mean literally any other business would have thrown you out the door by now if you did this shit.
