Okay I just read this post from Ben and I agree with it.

Han, I can go back and read HB's posts, sure, but key points wouldn't matter. I think almost anyone can look scum enough if you go back reading their posts imagining they're scum. I know you've shown me Hangut in full action last game, but still, you're not confirmed town enough for me to blindly trust.

Maybe you're already planning this, just putting it out there.

Because BCT didn't look awful. He looked new. He was under suspicion last game too. But in the previous game, he had a Scumteam that was able to coach him through responses, and here he just gave up. Just giving up is a lot more likely that he's frustrated Town.

I am still on the whole Ben/Sultan thing with Isquen

I do like the idea of trying to force out content during inactivity, but I dont think the 2scum/2town lists work very well in execution and his own examples werent that great. The townside of the first post was half random and half based on how Ulti responded to a Primenumber joke (which I still dont get but maybe I am just dumb)

Then Isquens second list of 2/2 has the scumside not work (Ben and Sultan cant be scum together unless Sultan is just that much of a wildcard for his own team). He also didnt make clear how this new list pair contrasted with the first which was throwing other people off too since they asked him why he voted Lopen instead of Ben or Sultan (the 'grodies')

And his response has an air of 'please ignore that haha'

After which he posted his new all inclusive list of reads, basically making me wonder why he even posted that groovy/grody post at all and if he was even paying attention.

Ben also hopped into the Isquen train there with the quoted post that pinged me, and from last game, can confirm that Ben and Lea aligned in thought if both are Town generally aim true.

I read topic 1 and half of topic 2.

I think you start to see him be more praise happy later in topic 1.

Again I'm not saying there aren't some vague similarities but you can find vague similarities to any pair of games. I do think my library of town Sultan games is pretty decent at this point so I was mostly looking for stuff that looked out of place there vs his whole library of games.

It's why I thought I needed to look at a town game too. One can turn your case around and say that any pair of games where one is the same alignment can be different too. I tried making the point that Sultan looked closer to half a topic of Elden Ring than Star Wars and Pokemon. I think perhaps the right move here is not my continuing to read the same things but to conclude that there are better ways to spend time figuring this game out than looking at Sultan posts from previous games.

This is true. I don't think if you have firsthand experience with a lot of Sultan games that is going to yield much fruit for your efforts.

For me I wanted to read it because I've (wrongly) thought Sultan was scum in a few games I've been in so wanted to see some things that potentially stood out in a game where he actually was scum

BCT was clearly not thinking rationally (or perhaps not thinking at all) when he said town would lose if we killed him. I assume he forgot or didn't know what role madness meant and assumed that he was one of few town power roles, and perhaps one of the more powerful ones, rather than 1 of 12 and perhaps not even one of the stronger ones within that.

I already said that HB was strange with his selection of things to chime in on yeah.

His last comment also makes me think he is pretty sad that we arent still lynching Plum.
That sorta contrasts with how he sorta played devils advocate for BCT at first, but looking back he didnt put that much effort into it anyway.

Because it's Andy. He's not "being low, playing the mental health card". He's actually responding in what looks like an honest way.

We're talking a guy who has held off of playing the game for ages because he wasn't sure if he could handle it. And in last game, I called him as having claimed Scum in his/my first post. And he didn't crumble.

You can NOT put his actions into a "protown-EV" angle, and it's Scummy to do so. You have to look at them from a pure psychological angle.

BCT was always going to be the "easy lynch" of the game. Anybody familiar with him should know that. And the people still trying to hang on to that are probably frustrated that he replaced out. I am too. I wish he didn't.

(And hide your "concerned" feelings - you're not BCT and would not be treated like BCT, which is super fucking duh)

This does not explain the claim and why town would supposedly automatically lose if we killed him. If I can get someone to properly explain that line of play I can be convinced to switch votes.

Something else has been bothering me. Ben, why would you first post claim miller under the current games rules?

Ulti, you started real strong this game. But this entire post says "I haven't actually read the game".

I don't like how much Ulti is bringing the rules into this. Anybody with your amount of games played knows that sometimes people would skim over them and maybe miss them, or maybe only read the bolded rule. It reeks of trying to generate content by focusing on something tangible but NAI.
