Never drove myself a distance like this yet, but I have road from south carolina to connecticut a few times since a bit of my dad's family is up that way/my oldest sister still stays up north.

Kind of a boring trip as a kid since in the early 90s all I had was a gameboy to keep me occupied and when it got dark I could only play for like 5 seconds everytime we passed a street light, lol =/

In one day around 14 hours.

As a whole trip I went 10,000 miles from upstate NY to socal and back by myself in 2016. The aforementioned 14 hours was part of that as I passed through the Midwest.

I used to make an 1100 mile drive four times a year going from where I grew up to where I was going to college. On both ends of summer break and both ends of winter break. It took me two days and I got pretty good at it. Gained an appreciation for audio books. The Hobbit was a favorite and Id usually listen to that once a year (LotR did not work well). Also, Stephen King short stories worked out really well.

Uhhhhh, I've done a lot of roadtrips:

Canadian/US tour with a band. Montreal to Vancouver, then down to Medford Oregon to Jamestown NY and back to Montreal.

Vancouver to San Diego.

Roadtripped all of Costa Rica.

Roadtripped in Ecuador, starting in Quito, to Guayaquil, Riobamba, then to the Amazon and back to Quito.

Probably the tour with the band was the longest one, however.

SoCal to Montana or Idaho through a tiny part of Canada. I've also had road trips from SoCal to Utah, Colorado, and I think Wyoming.

I've also flown to Texas, Alabama (had to land there because of a storm in Georgia), and Georgia, all from SoCal. Once I flew from North Carolina to SoCal with a layover in Texas.

Id have to look at the miles between Johannesburg and Mala Mala game reserve. That wasnt so much of a road trip. I landed in Johannesburg and we drove to Mala Mala and it felt like forever. Me and 7 other exchange students in a Toyota van for 2 days in South Africa was one hell of a trip. I spent 6 weeks there and the drive to Mala Mala felt like it took forever.

I imagine my family road trip from Michigan to Arizona was a longer drive but Im not sure. We stopped all over the place for 3 weeks.

As far as me driving, my wife and I have gone from NW Ohio to the Smoky Mountains a few times, but I think St Louis is farther maybe? I did that once.

As far as just being a passenger, when I was a little kid we went from NW Ohio to Garden of the Gods in Colorado. I think about two days of driving one way? I forget exactly how long it took, this wouldve been 35+ years ago.
