And I guess anime is its own category- people I know are getting me into watching more of that. Bad/mediocre anime is much more tolerable in a group --- You did indeed stab me in the back. Not to mention collecting physical releases and improving my audiophile station. Add concert-going which I do several times a month, and it becomes a no brainer. Went with music. I'm listening to something almost all the time (work in an office setting), and discovering new music or reading/learning about it is one of my daily pleasures. Not to mention collecting physical releases and improving my audiophile station. Add concert-going which I do several times a month, and it becomes a no brainer. It's the hobby I spend the most time and money on.

I want to say anime but the last 2-3 years I've been spending way more time on card games (which I've also enjoyed for most of my life but it's ramped up since COVID happened).

Admittedly I haven't really tried those (and should), but the social aspect of board games is a big part of what makes them my answer here.
